Day 1

Nairobi – Maasai Mara

After breakfast in your hotel in Nairobi pick up by your professional guide and depart the Nairobi region for Masai Mara driving through the dramatic Great Rift Valley with a brief stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint where you will have a chance to take photos with a great view of the valley. Proceed to the Masai Mara National Reserve arriving in time for lunch at the hotel.
This enormous reserve is actually part of the vast Serengeti plains famously known for its spectacular great Wildebeest’s migration and is home of the Big Five: Lion, Elephant, Leopard, Buffalo, and Rhino.
At 4pm proceed for an evening game drive, tracking various animal species and birds with your driver/guide. Dinner and overnight at your choosen accommodation.

Day 2

After breakfast proceed on a full day of game viewing within the reserve. The landscape here is scenic savannah grassland on rolling hills. The reserve is the best park for game in Kenya as it has an extensiveroad and track network which allows for close range viewing and photography. Break for your picnic lunch at the hippo pool, looking out for hippos and crocodile. Dinner and overnight at chosen accommodation.

After breakfast you can decide to have a Masai village visit which is optional before departing the Mara region for Nakuru, lunch en route, with scenic views of Mt. Longonot and Lake Naivasha from afar on the main highway. You will arrive in the evening and be dropped off for your dinner and overnight at the camp/lodge.

The park contains a sanctuary for the conservation of the white rhino while species like cape buffalo and waterbuck can be seen near the shoreline–enjoy a hot lunch and drive tonaivasha–you have an option to take a boat ride in this fresh water lake to go and see hippos and fish eagles at extra cost. Dinner and overnight at a hotel / lodge.

Day 5

After breakfast at the hotel drive to Hell’s gate for a game drive. Here is the only place one can walk inside the park as their no predators. You will decide if to do the game drive with the safari vehicle or hire Bicycle to cycle the 11 kms down to gorge. At the gorge you will get a guide so that he can guide you and share information about the rock layers. Late drive/cycle back to the gate, leave Naivasha with lunch en route back to Nairobi. Drop off at Nairobi Hotel or be transferred to airport.
