This park, compact and awe-inspiring, is rich in natural wonders, framed by age-old baobab trees. It's a habitat for various species such as Lesser kudu, eland, lions, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, elephants, Maasai giraffes, fringe-eared Oryxes, and gerenuks, celebrated for its dense population of baobab trees and prominent lion sightings.

Tarangire is distinguished by having the largest number of elephants globally, with herds sometimes surpassing 3,000. It holds the position of having the second-largest concentration of wildlife in Tanzania, next to the Serengeti National Park.
