Day 1

Arusha - Lake Manyara

Arusha - Lake Manyara

Our guide will pick you up from the hotel at 6:30 am. From there, you'll embark on a drive towards Lake Manyara National Park, exploring the beauty of Tanzanian nature along the way. After arriving, check in and start a game drive across Lake Manyara National Park.

You’ll also keep your eyes peeled for some tree-climbing lions, which love this side of the park. Lake Manyara is also tipped to have the most significant number of primates on earth, so we’ll also have to look out for the fun and energy that the local baboon population brings! After the game drive, head to your accommodation for dinner and overnight.

Declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979, this massive collapsed volcano is home to over 25,000 mammals, such as spotted hyenas and the Big 5 (elephant, rhino, buffalo, leopard, and lion). At 1:00 pm, you'll have lunch, a game drive for a few hours, and ascend the caldera. You'll drive to Karatu for dinner and overnight.

Tarangire NP - Arusha

Today is also a brilliant opportunity to spot the Big 5 after a drive from Karatu at 6:00 am. The Tarangire River runs through the park, attracting many elephants, buffalos, giraffes, and antelopes, particularly in the Dry season between June and October. Large herds of elephants often pass through the area and love cooling off under the baobabs (upside-down trees).

Following our exciting game drive, we’ll transfer you to your hotel in Arusha.
