Pick Up & Drive to the Hotel

You'll have a pick-up from the hotel in Kigali upon arrival at Kigali International Airport. You will go through customs and immigration. You will be received by a Lion Safaris representative or driver-guide who will give you a warm welcome to the land of a thousand hills. Later, you'll be driven to the appropriate hotel for dinner and an overnight stay, depending on your arrival time from the airport.

Transfer To Nyungwe National Park

In the morning, after having your breakfast from the hotel in Kigali, a Lion Safaris driver guide will drive you will come to pick you up from your hotel. Then, you'll be heading to Nyungwe National Park, which is located in south west of Rwanda. You'll stop on the way to visit the Royal Palace Museum in Southern Province. This will allow you to get a history of traditional ways of living among Rwandans and their past way of leadership of kingship, with en route lunch. Then, you continue your road up to Nyungwe National Park, where you will spend a leisurely evening with dinner and an overnight stay.

Chimpanzees Trekking in Nyungwe National Park

Early in the morning, a Lion Safaris driver-guide will come to pick you up from your lodge, then take you to experience the natural forest known as Nyungwe National Park, where there are 13 species of primates, and transfer you to the park office for briefing and chimpanzee trekking. After doing the chimpanzee trekking, our driver-guide will bring you back to the lodge for evening leisure or go for a tea plantation tour.
In the chimpanzee trekking activity, we recommend carrying a packed lunch.

Colobus Monkeys Trekking & Canopy Walk

After your morning breakfast, our driver-guide will come to drive you to the park office for briefing before you head to search Colobus monkeys and enjoy them, here you get access to take many pictures as want and return to the lodge for lunch before you prepare to go to the canopy walk as a very high bridge in the park which offers an opportunity to have a better view point of the park and sightseeing, sometime enjoying the flowers and incredible trees from the park. After enjoying, the driver-guide will bring you back to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
