We will pick you up from your Nairobi hotel in the morning and transfer you to Amboseli National Park, which is less than a five-hour drive away and is famous for its scenery, with the snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro dominating the landscape and the open plains. Arrive in time for check in at your camp, have lunch, and then take a short rest. Enjoy an afternoon game drive in the park, followed by dinner and your overnight stay at the camp.

Wake up early for breakfast and head into the park for a full day of game viewing on morning and afternoon game drives. You will enjoy a stunning variety of wildlife such as zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, impala, caracal and serval cats, lion, leopard, cheetah, and buffalo, among others. You will also see over 400 bird species, including bee-eaters, kingfishers, African fish eagles, martial eagles, and pygmy falcons. You will be fascinated by the large elephant herds—some of the biggest in Kenya—and enjoy magnificent views of Mount Kilimanjaro and Mount Meru.

Day 3

Have breakfast, check out of your lodge, and depart for Aberdares National Park, where you will be welcomed by the lush, scenic Aberdare ranges. Arrive in time for lunch and check in at the Aberdares Country Club, an elegant baronial-style country home set in sprawling landscaped gardens. Later, transfer to Aberdares National Park through the Ark Gate. The Ark Lodge is uniquely designed to resemble the biblical Ark and offers the opportunity to view animals as they come to drink at the natural waterhole. Here, you may see elephants, rhinos, bongo, and nocturnal antelopes with black-on-tan stripes, among other wildlife.

Have breakfast and enjoy an en-route game drive as you exit the park, then continue to the Masai Mara National Reserve, the most popular safari destination in Kenya and home to one of the greatest concentrations of large mammals. The reserve is widely recognized as Africa’s ultimate wildlife haven and is also famous for the annual Great Migration, which it shares with Tanzania’s Serengeti National Park.

Arrive in time for lunch, check in, and later in the evening head out for a game drive where you will enjoy breathtaking views of the endless plains and one of the most abundant collections of wildlife remaining anywhere in the world. The Masai Mara landscape consists of rolling savannas dotted with patchy shrubs and bush thickets.

Have breakfast and head into the endless plains of the Masai Mara National Reserve for a full day of exploration. During the tour, you may see elephants, giraffes, prides of lions, impalas, topis, Grant’s and Thomson’s gazelles, and prolific birdlife. Over 450 bird species have been recorded here, including 57 birds of prey. If you visit during the annual Great Migration, you will be able to witness the migration as it moves through the Mara–Serengeti ecosystem. On this day, you may also choose to participate in optional activities such as a hot-air balloon safari or a visit to a Maasai village at an additional cost.
