Nairobi – Masai Mara National Reserve

The safari begins early in the morning with a scheduled pick-up from a central meeting point in Nairobi CBD, where you will meet your driver-guide and fellow travelers. You will depart Nairobi and drive through the scenic Great Rift Valley, making a brief stop for photos before continuing to the Masai Mara. Arrival at the camp or lodge will be in time for lunch and check-in. After a short rest, you will head out for an afternoon game drive in the Masai Mara, where you may encounter a wide variety of wildlife including elephants, giraffes, zebras, buffaloes, and predators such as lions and cheetahs. You will return to the camp in the evening for dinner and overnight.

Full Day in Masai Mara

After an early breakfast, you will depart for a full-day game drive in the Masai Mara with a packed lunch. The day is spent exploring different wildlife-rich areas of the reserve, maximizing your chances of spotting the Big Five and many other species. Your guide will take you to open plains and riverbanks where hippos and crocodiles are commonly seen, while sharing insights about the Mara ecosystem. During the migration season, you may witness large herds of wildebeest and zebras moving across the plains. You will enjoy your picnic lunch in the bush before continuing with game viewing until late afternoon. In the evening, you will return to the camp for dinner and overnight.

Masai Mara to Nakuru

Following an early breakfast, you will check out of the camp and begin your journey toward Lake Nakuru National Park. The drive takes you through scenic countryside and rural landscapes. You will arrive in Nakuru town or the park area in time for lunch and check-in at your lodge or camp. The afternoon will be at leisure, allowing you to relax after the long drive and enjoy the surrounding views. Dinner and overnight will be at the lodge or camp near Lake Nakuru.

Lake Nakuru National Park to Nairobi

After breakfast, you will proceed for a morning game drive in Lake Nakuru National Park, famous for its flamingos, diverse birdlife, and as a sanctuary for both black and white rhinos. You may also spot Rothschild’s giraffes, buffaloes, and other plains game within the park. After the game drive, you will begin the return journey to Nairobi. Arrival in Nairobi will be in the late afternoon, where you will be dropped off at the same central meeting point in Nairobi CBD, marking the end of your safari.
