Southern Serengeti National Park (Ndutu)

Your journey begins at 08:00 AM with a pickup from the airport in Arusha. As you leave the city behind, you will embark on a spectacular drive through the Ngorongoro Highlands, passing through high-altitude rainforests and Maasai villages before the land drops away to reveal the vast, short-grass plains of the Southern Serengeti.

Once we enter the Ndutu region the heart of the Southern Serengeti your game drive begins immediately.
Unlike other parts of the Serengeti, off-road driving is permitted in Ndutu, allowing you to leave the main tracks and get incredibly close to the massive herds. You’ll spend the afternoon completely surrounded by hundreds of thousands of wildebeest and zebras that gather here for the calving season.

Today is dedicated to witnessing the heart of the Great Migration. As the sun rises over the Southern Serengeti, you will find yourself in the middle of nature's greatest nursery. During this peak calving season, over 8,000 wildebeest are born every day, and your full-day exploration allows you to witness this incredible circle of life firsthand.

Your guide has the freedom to go off-road, tracking specific lion prides or finding a secluded, quiet spot under an acacia tree to watch the massive migration unfold around you.

Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha

After an early breakfast, we descend 600 meters (2,000 feet) down the steep, forested walls into the breathtaking Ngorongoro Crater. This massive, prehistoric caldera creates a natural sanctuary where wildlife exists in a perfect, self-contained ecosystem. The morning light reflecting off the crater walls provides a stunning backdrop for your final safari chapter.
The crater floor offers some of the most intimate and concentrated wildlife viewing in all of Africa. Because the animals rarely leave the caldera, you will find yourself surrounded by a high density of predators and prey.

Midday, we enjoy a gourmet picnic lunch at the scenic Hippo Pool. You can stretch your legs while watching hippos grunting in the water and vibrant birds dancing along the shoreline.
