Day 1

Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater – The Eighth Wonder of the World

Arusha to Ngorongoro Crater – The Eighth Wonder of the World

Today we journey from Arusha to the rim of the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater. From here, we will descend 600 meters into the caldera, enjoying breathtaking panoramic views along the way. As the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera, this UNESCO World Heritage site is a haven for an astonishingly dense population of wildlife, hosting over 120 species of mammals.

Our full-day game drive offers a rare opportunity to spot East Africa’s last remaining black rhinos, alongside thriving prides of lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs, and the ever-elusive leopard. We will also explore the vibrant saline waters of Lake Magadi, a known magnet for brilliant pink flamingos. Keep your eyes peeled for incredible birdlife, including the regal crowned crane, secretary birds, and migratory white storks.

We will enjoy a scenic picnic lunch surrounded by the raw beauty of the crater floor. After an exhilarating day of wildlife tracking, we will ascend to our campsite for a stunning African sunset.

Serengeti national park

Serengeti national park

After breakfast, journey past the stunning Ngorongoro Conservation Area into the boundless plains of the Serengeti. Here, the timeless African landscape unfolds, setting the stage for the Great Wildebeest Migration—the world’s most spectacular wildlife marvel. As far as the eye can see, immense herds stretch across the horizon, moving in ancient rhythm.

Beyond the migration, the Serengeti is a theater of diverse life. Graceful giraffes feed effortlessly from acacia treetops, while lean cheetahs and camouflaged leopards stalk the savannah. Near the Grumeti River, crocodiles wait discreetly for river crossings, while hyenas prowl the plains. Keeping watch over it all are the resident lion prides, resting in the shade while the lionesses lead the hunt.

After two thrilling days of tracking apex predators and sweeping wildlife spectacles, return to camp each evening to unwind. Enjoy dinner under the stars, drifting off to sleep to the sounds of the African bush.

Serengeti to Arusha – The Final Savannah Sunrise

Serengeti to Arusha – The Final Savannah Sunrise

Your final day in the bush begins with an early breakfast before we embark on a spectacular farewell game drive out of the Serengeti. Morning is prime time for predator activity; keep your eyes peeled for a last glimpse of a leopard heading back from a night hunt or a pride of lions catching the first warm rays of the sun.

As we leave the endless plains behind, the landscape shifts dramatically, winding back through the scenic highlands of the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and past vibrant Maasai villages. We’ll break up the journey with a stop at a local cultural market or a scenic lunch spot, perfect for picking up handcrafted mementos of your journey. Arrive in Arusha by late afternoon, filled with memories of the wild, and be transferred to your hotel or to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your evening departure.
