Flight from Zanzibar to Arusha followed with game drive in Tarangire National Park

At 6:00 am (pick-up time depends on your hotel’s location in Zanzibar), our driver will transfer you to the airport for your 8:00 am flight to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, you will meet your driver-guide and begin the 1.5-hour journey to Tarangire National Park, learning about the history of Arusha and the Maasai people along the way.

In the afternoon (12:10 pm–1:00 pm), you will enjoy a packed lunch inside the park, then proceed with your game drive.

Tarangire is renowned for its rich biodiversity, especially its large elephant herds, along with lions, giraffes, zebras, wildebeests, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs, and an impressive variety of birdlife. The park’s diverse landscapes range from seasonal swamps to open savannah, all crossed by the Tarangire River. You may witness lions stalking prey or leopards resting in the trees.

Around 4:00 pm, you will depart the park and drive about one hour to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

Game Drive Ngorongoro Crater and Flight back to Zanzibar

After breakfast at 6:00 am, you will drive to Ngorongoro for an early game drive in the Ngorongoro Crater. The journey from your lodge to the Ngorongoro Gate takes about 45 minutes. After check-in, you will continue toward the crater, making a brief stop for a Maasai visit before descending into the crater.

An early start offers the best views and the most active wildlife.

Ngorongoro is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Africa’s Natural Wonders, featuring the world’s largest intact caldera. It is home to around 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, along with many bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. You can expect excellent wildlife sightings in a short time.

After lunch, the game drive ends and you will transfer to Arusha Airport, about a 3-hour drive, for your 5:00 pm flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival at 6:15 pm, your driver will take you back to your hotel.
