Jinja Exploration
After breakfast, depart for Jinja, Uganda’s adventure capital, travelling through the scenic countryside of central Uganda. En route, make a stop at Ewaffe Cultural Village for an immersive Buganda cultural experience. Here, you’ll gain insight into the traditions, customs, food, music, and way of life of the Baganda people through engaging cultural activities and interactions with the local community.
Continue to Jinja and explore the Source of the Nile, one of Uganda’s most iconic attractions, where the Nile begins its remarkable journey northwards. Depending on your preference, take part in an exhilarating adventure activity such as white-water rafting, kayaking, or bungee jumping, offering an unforgettable experience amid Jinja’s beautiful natural surroundings. Later, transfer to your lodge for check-in, relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay in Jinja.

After breakfast, venture into Kidepo Valley National Park for an exciting exploration of its vast savannah plains, rugged mountains, and dramatic landscapes. Enjoy a game drive through the park in search of lions, elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, cheetahs, antelopes, and other wildlife. You may also take a guided nature walk, offering a closer appreciation of the park’s unique flora, birdlife, and breathtaking scenery.
Later, immerse yourself in the rich traditions of the Karamojong people through a cultural community experience. Visit a local community and gain insight into their traditional way of life, including their customs, dances, livestock practices, crafts, and cultural heritage. This authentic encounter provides an opportunity to interact with the community and learn about the close relationship between the Karamojong people and their environment. Here, embark on a guided rhino tracking experience, following experienced rangers through the sanctuary’s natural surroundings in search of these magnificent animals while learning about their behavior and ongoing conservation efforts.
After the rhino tracking experience, continue your journey towards Murchison Falls National Park, with a lunch stop along the way. Rise early and enjoy a morning game drive through Murchison Falls National Park, when wildlife is most active. Explore the park’s vast savannah plains in search of elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, Uganda kob, hartebeest, warthogs, and other wildlife. With some luck, you may also encounter lions and leopards as they move through the grasslands. Return to the lodge for breakfast and some time to relax.
After lunch, embark on a boat cruise along the Victoria Nile towards the base of Murchison Falls. The cruise offers spectacular views of the river and an opportunity to see large concentrations of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffaloes, and numerous water birds along the banks. As you approach the falls, enjoy the dramatic scenery and the powerful sound of the Nile rushing through the narrow gorge before returning to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Later, visit the nearby Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary for a guided nature and community walk. The wetland is renowned for its rich biodiversity and offers opportunities to spot several primate species, including red colobus, black-and-white colobus, vervet monkeys, and blue monkeys, as well as numerous colourful bird species. The trek can take several hours depending on the location of the gorillas and the terrain, offering a rewarding opportunity to observe these magnificent primates in their natural habitat. Spend time watching their behaviour, interactions, and daily activities before beginning the trek back to the park headquarters.
After lunch and some time to relax, visit the Batwa community for an enriching cultural experience. Learn about the Batwa people's traditional forest-based way of life, heritage, music, dances, and their deep connection with the forests of southwestern Uganda. Continue the journey towards Entebbe, enjoying views of the Ugandan countryside and local communities along the way. Upon arrival in Entebbe, you will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your departure flight, marking the end of your unforgettable Ugandan safari.
