Day 1

Game drive in Arusha National Park

Game drive in Arusha National Park

This is the moment you’ve been waiting for – your Tanzanian safari begins! You have so much to look forward to, and we’ll get your journey underway after introducing our team and explaining what lies ahead.

Upon arrival at the airport, your driver-guide will pick you up and take you to Arusha National Park for a game drive.

Arusha National Park is one of the most beautiful corners of the Rift Valley. Here, you’ll see giraffes, zebras, buffalo, flamingos, and a wide variety of birds. But it’s the scenery that truly captivates – from the near-perfect volcanic cone of Mount Meru to the stunning Ngurdoto Crater, often called “Little Ngorongoro.” By focusing on the landscape as well as the wildlife, your visit perfectly complements the other parks on Tanzania’s northern safari circuit.

In the end of afternoon you will drive to your Lodge located about 45minutes from the Park for Overnight stay.

At 07:00 AM, begin your scenic 1.5-hour drive from Arusha to Tarangire National Park, famously known as the “Home of Giants” for its impressive elephant herds and majestic baobab trees.

Once inside the park, your safari adventure truly begins. Explore the vast plains in search of elephants, lions, zebras, giraffes, and, with some luck, leopards lounging in the trees. The Tarangire River draws a remarkable concentration of wildlife, creating some of Tanzania’s most picturesque landscapes. With over 400 bird species, the park is also a paradise for bird enthusiasts.

By late afternoon, arrive at your lodge, where you will be welcomed with a traditional Maasai dance. The lodge offers stunning views of both sunrise and sunset. After settling in, enjoy a delicious dinner and relax for the night.

Ngorongoro Crater Game Drive

Wake early to enjoy the sunrise from your room, followed by breakfast. You’ll depart from the lodge at 06:50 AM and begin your journey toward the Ngorongoro.

Your day in and around the Ngorongoro Crater may well become one of the most unforgettable highlights of your entire safari. After stopping at the crater rim for panoramic views, you will descend onto the crater floor home to an extraordinary concentration of wildlife. The critically endangered black rhino is one of the crater’s most prized sightings, while large-tusked elephants, one of the crater’s four lion prides, and clans of spotted hyenas are commonly seen.

The crater itself is breathtaking: a natural amphitheater of steep, lush green walls surrounding open plains, a shimmering salt lake, acacia forests, and hippo-filled wetlands truly one of Africa’s most spectacular landscapes.

In the end of afternoon you will drive back to your Hotel for dinner and overnight relaxation.
