Day 1

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

The transfer starts early in the morning exactly 6:30 am from your residence in Kampala or Entebbe, after your breakfast the safari guide will pick you up to head to Queen Elizabeth 417km in about a 7-hour drive southwest of Kampala. The road trip starts from Kampala to the west and has the first stopover at the Equator for amazing photos and demonstrations about the geographical separation of the north and the southern hemisphere.

From there continue with your road trip to Queen Elizabeth National Park and be welcomed by the beautiful Rwenzori ranges. Upon arrival in Queen Elizabeth National Park, there will be an evening game drive in the park which is highly relaxing, and views of several wild animals including Leopards, Hogs, Lions, Buffaloes, Duikers, Hyenas, gigantic Elephants, and antelope species. Transfer to the lodge for check relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Day 2

After you have enjoyed your breakfast, you will be taken for a morning game drive in time to see the sunrise. The morning is the best time for a game drive as the African animal kingdom tends to be most active when during the golden hours of the first sunlight touching the savannah. You will continue the search for all the wildlife; elephant, buffalo, lion, waterbuck, leopard, Uganda kob, warthog, and do not forget about the birds and the primates.

After lunch, you will take a boat safari along the Kazinga Channel. Here, you will see a lot of hippos (more than you can imagine), as well as a variety of other animals that come to the waterhole to drink or bathe. You can expect to see a buffalo, Crocodile, bathing Elephant, and a range of beautiful birds. This will undoubtedly be one of the highlights of your tour.

Day 3

Today you will experience Chimpanzee trekking in Kyambura Gorge. You will arrive at the park Headquarters at 6:30 am for briefing. Led by an experienced Ranger Guide, You will start off into the forest to find the Chimps as they awake from their Nests. Thereafter you will follow a Chimpanzee family, observing how they hunt, feed, Mate, Play with the young, interact, and rest. You will get to learn to identify them as individuals by their markings, scars, and other unique features that make them stand apart from the rest.

Have a chance to have a game drive in the Ishasha sector where the tree-climbing lions are found. Ishasha sector is suited suitably in the southern side of Queen Elizabeth National Park, western Uganda. This sector is popular for its rare tree climbing lions which can easily be spotted sprawling on tree branches. Ishasha sector is suitably set in an area with riverine and vast savanna vegetation, acacia, and fig trees.

On the fourth day of your 5-day exploration of Queen Elizabeth National Park, meet your driver guide after breakfast and head out for a full-day game drive in the Ishasha region. The Ishasha area of Queen Elizabeth National Park is noted for housing the well-known tree-climbing lions, which may be seen there when on a game drive. The lions that climb trees can be observed in the Ishasha sector lazily lying up in the branches of acacia and fig trees and gazing at other animals, like Uganda kobs, waterbucks, buffaloes, and elephants, among others. You will return to the lodge for dinner and the night after the wildlife drive. Feel free to take as many Photos as you Want.
