Nairobi Drive to Masai Mara National Reserve

If you have ever closed your eyes and dreamed of Africa, you have envisioned the experience you will live today. Masai Mara is the cradle of the Maasai culture and an iconic African safari destination. Upon arrival at the airport and after customs and immigration procedures, you will enter the arrivals lounge and meet your driver guide. After the meet and greet, he will drive you to your car and commence the drive towards the southwest to Masai Mara National Reserve (approximately 5 ½ hours drive). You will have a stopover at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for a breathtaking view of the floor of the Rift Valley. Arrive for your hot lunch in Narok Town to your camp. At around 4 pm, depart for evening game drive in the Mara Reserve. One glimpse is enough to explain its appeal; it is typical open savannah, with a mass of amazing wildlife like giraffes, spotted hyena, impala, wildebeest, elephants, buffaloes, zebras and hippos. Dinner and overnight stay at Lenchada Tourist Camp.

You will easily see lions, rhinos, hippos, crocodiles, giraffe, wildebeests, zebras, buffalo, warthogs, hyenas, jackals, wild dogs, leopards, elephants and many kinds of antelopes. It is in the Mara that perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world takes place: the great migration. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeests and zebras from the Serengeti (in Tanzania) in search of water and pasture. Following on their heels are the predators of the savanna: lions, cheetahs, wild dogs, jackals, hyenas and vultures.

Game Drive in Lake Nakuru National Park to Nairobi

After your breakfast, depart for the game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park till around noon. Early in the afternoon, exit the park and you will enjoy hot lunch on your way to Nairobi at Mai Mahiu. Thereafter, continue with the drive for Nairobi and upon arrival in Nairobi you will be dropped off at your hotel of stay in Nairobi or at airport.
