Day 1
Dar es Salaam to Mikumi Maasai Village

You'll be picked up from your hotel in Dar es Salaam at 07:30 am and driven to Mikumi National Park. It is a 5-6 hour drive. You will arrive for a short break at the lodge before going to the Maasai Village for a history tour and see their life activities until 6:30 pm. Your dinner and overnight stay will be in Mikumi Camp Bastian.

Day 2
Mikumi National Park

Early at 6:30 am, you'll have breakfast, then leave for Mikumi National Park with lunch packed (15 minutes to the park) for a full day game viewing until 6:00 pm. This is a good time for you to drive inside the park looking at animals like elephants, hippos, zebras, giraffes, buffaloes, etc, if lucky, even lions and leopards. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Mikumi Camp Bastian.

Day 3

You'll have an early morning breakfast, then drive 1.5hours to Morogoro. You'll go straight to Choma Village, and start hiking with your guide, it will take 2.5hours. During the hike, you have some spectacular views of the city. You can meet with local people. You will first reach Choma waterfalls. Here, you can enjoy a cooling dip in the water after the first hours of hiking or just relax by the calming sound of the water. Usually, this is the place to enjoy your lunchbox, or African food can be served here. After swimming, you'll start walking back to meet your driver and drive 3 hours to Kisaki Village for dinner and an overnight stay at Lemala Eco Lodge.

Day 4

After breakfast at your lodge, you'll drive to Nyerere National Park via Matambwe Gate and start wildlife viewing in Nyerere and along the Rufiji River. Rufiji River is hippo-filled, and the lakes are fringed with palm trees.
The park covers an area of over 30,000 square kilometers. Nyerere is, after all, home to one of the biggest lion populations in Africa and other animals like elephant, zebra, giraffe, Impala, hippo, crocodile, buffalo, and wildebeest—you’re almost guaranteed to see plenty of these. It’s also a good place to see African wild dogs and leopards, but these are harder to find. Wherever you look, the backdrop to all these animals is always beautiful. You'll enjoy a packed lunch in the bush. Later, you'll enjoy an after sunset view drive to Mloka Safari Lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5
Bushman Walking Safari
Bushman Walking Safari
An early morning tea or coffee at the Lodge, you'll start bushwalking safaris, the most exciting experience. It is unique in Tanzania. You will walk for 3 hours, then get back to the lodge for breakfast. After breakfast, you'll collect your things and drive back to Dar es Salaam and be dropped off at the ferry or the airport.
