Day 2

Have breakfast and head for a briefing about the chimp tracking activity. Chimpanzees are man’s closest cousins though they are one of the most threatened primate species. More primates like black and white Colobus monkeys, L’Hoest's monkeys, grey-cheeked mangabey, red-tailed monkeys, bush babies and pottos can be seen here. Many bird species like the yellow-spotted nicator, rumped tinker bird, little greenbul, green breasted pitta, the crowned eagle and black bee-eater are also found here. You can also see mammals such as elephants in this walk. Afterwards, you'll transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and relax on arrival.

After breakfast, you will depart for Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, enjoying the scenic landscapes of the Kigezi highlands along the way. Arriving in the evening, you will check in to your lodge for dinner and overnight stay, ready to relax and prepare for the adventures ahead.

Mountain Gorilla Trek in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest
After an early breakfast, you will proceed to the park headquarters for a briefing on the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking in Bwindi. Guided by experienced rangers, you will then enter the dense rainforest in search of the gentle giants. Trekkers are advised to wear raincoats and sturdy boots, as the weather can be unpredictable. Porters are available to help carry luggage for a small additional fee. Gorilla tracking can take anywhere from 2 to 7 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla families, so being physically fit is recommended. After your trek, return to the lodge for a late lunch or enjoy a packed lunch in the forest.
