The drive takes approximately 2.5 to 3 hours, passing through scenic landscapes of the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, begin your adventure in this beautiful park, home to large pods of hippos, flamingos along the lakeshore, and over 400 bird species, including ground hornbills and crested eagles. After an early breakfast, depart from Lake Manyara National Park and journey to the iconic Ngorongoro Crater, a scenic drive of approximately 3 hours through the highlands and Maasai landscapes. Upon arrival, descend into the crater for an unforgettable game drive in one of Africa’s most remarkable wildlife havens. This natural wonder is home to an incredible concentration of animals, including the Big Five, set against breathtaking backdrops of lush plains and crater walls. Enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor before continuing your safari, with excellent opportunities to spot diverse wildlife and birdlife. As the day comes to an end, ascend the crater and proceed to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Day 3

Discover Tarangire National Park Adventure

You will be met by your safari guide in Karatu and proceed for a transfer to Tarangire National Park, a drive of approximately 2 to 2.5 hours. Upon arrival, begin your game drive across this vast park, famous for its ancient baobab trees-some believed to be over 1,000 years old. Your safari will focus around the Tarangire River, the main water source in the park that attracts large numbers of wildlife, including giraffes, elephants, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, hippos, and predators such as lions. In the afternoon, your driver-guide will select a scenic spot for a picnic hot lunch within the park. Continue with game viewing as you explore more of Tarangire’s diverse habitats, home to over 500 bird species. Later in the afternoon, return to Karatu (approx. 2 hours) for dinner and relaxation after an exciting safari day.
