Enjoy a full-day game drive with chances to spot the Big Four—lions, elephants, buffaloes, and leopards—along with hippos, zebras, wildebeests, cheetahs, hyenas, and Thomson’s gazelles. Tarangire is especially famous for its large elephant herds and diverse wildlife along the Tarangire River. The journey from Karatu to Central Serengeti takes approximately 4–6 hours, depending on wildlife sightings and road conditions. Serengeti is world-renowned for its breathtaking landscapes and incredible wildlife, with the highest concentration of plains game in Africa. It is most famous for the Great Wildebeest Migration, where over a million wildebeest and thousands of zebras move across the plains in search of fresh grazing. After breakfast, depart for the Ngorongoro Crater for a full day of wildlife viewing. The drive from Central Serengeti to the crater rim is approximately 3–4 hours, passing through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Often called the eighth wonder of the world and a UNESCO World Heritage Site, the crater boasts one of Africa’s highest concentrations of wildlife. Enjoy excellent chances to spot the Big Five, including the endangered black rhinoceros, as well as lions and large herds of buffalo year-round. A picnic lunch will be served on the crater floor. In the late afternoon, ascend the crater and continue to your lodge 40 minutes to Karatu for relaxation, dinner, and overnight.

Enjoy a packed lunch at a designated picnic site within the park.
