You'll transfer by road from Chirundu to Mana Pools National Park and to our tented camp on the Zambezi river front. Once settled into our camp, you can start exploring. Depending on game movements, you may walk straight out of the camp or drive a short distance to where all the action is. Walking is with an experienced armed guide, and wildlife viewing is in an open safari vehicle.

Day 2
Exploring the Park On Foot and by Vehicle
Exploring the Park On Foot and by Vehicle
You'll get up early in the morning. We ask you to pack your gear, which will be stowed away with all the other camp equipment (this will be moved to the next camp by our staff). You will walk to our next camp carrying the basics. You will see many animals while on foot, as well as tracks. You'll walk between 3 and 4 hours to our next camp. Our camp will be set up for you when you arrive. Later in the afternoon, you'll head out again, enjoying all the great sights the park has to offer. You can also just relax and take it easy in our well-positioned camp.

Day 3
Exploring the Park on Foot and by Vehicle
Exploring the Park on Foot and by Vehicle
You'll be up early in the morning again, same routine as yesterday. You'll pack your kit, and our team will drive it to the next camp. You'll head out and search the area for a wide variety of animals, including lions or Cape hunting dogs. You'll stay out till late morning and head to camp for lunch and a break. Later in the afternoon, you'll head out again, enjoying all the great sights the park has to offer. The park is well known for its large elephant population. Mana floodplain scenery is a photographer's dream.

Day 4

The best time for walking is in the morning, so it is early in the morning again. You'll head out and search the area for a wide variety of animals, including buffalo or Cape hunting dogs. You'll stay out till late morning and head to our new camp, which is already set up, and have a lunch break. Later in the afternoon, you'll head out again, enjoying all the great sights the park has to offer. The park is well known for its large elephant population. Some are well known for feeding on the floodplain trees by standing on their hind legs.

Day 5
Mana Floodplain
Mana Floodplain
The whole Mana floodplain is teeming with wildlife. The soft light makes the perfect setting for photographs.
The steady flow of the Zambezi River attracts lots of water birdlife. You will see many hippos and crocodiles on the river.
Many animals slowly walk past our well-positioned camp. Same routine as the day before, you'll pack your gear and our staff will move it ahead of you. You'll always have lots to explore and see.

Day 6

Once again, you'll be up early for an early breakfast. We all know the routine by now. While walking to your next camp, you'll discover many amazing things Mana has to offer. Prolific birdlife and scenic landscape are always easy on the eyes. Your backdrop is the mighty Zambezi River.

On your last morning, you will have a leisurely breakfast. You'll pack up your gear and drive out of the park.
