First Leg, the Highlands of Madagascar

Pick up point to be confirmed. Meet with your private guide. After a short briefing, depart directly south along the RN7 toward Antsirabe. Enjoy your first immersion into Madagascar’s highlands, with rice fields, villages and red-earth hills along the way. Stops are planned to observe rural life. Arrival in Antsirabe late afternoon.

Bara's Savannah

Leave the rainforest and stop in Fianarantsoa to explore the historic upper town, known for its traditional houses, viewpoints and cultural heritage. Visit of Anja community reserve where Catta Lemurs will greet you with a warm welcome to the south. Continue south through wide open landscapes toward the semi-arid region of Isalo. Arrival near Isalo National Park and time to enjoy the dramatic scenery.

Full day exploring Isalo National Park with your guide. Walk through impressive sandstone canyons, palm-lined oases and natural swimming pools. Vezo's Territory

Drive west toward the southwest coast and the Mozambique Channel. The landscape becomes drier as you approach the sea. Explore the Reniala Reserve, where you will encounter the island's unique baobabs. Arrival in Mangily / Ifaty, a relaxed coastal area home to the Vezo fishing people. Visit a traditional Vezo village and enjoy your first moments by the ocean.

Experience: Coastal drive, Vezo culture, seaside arrival.

Free day on the Vezo coast. Enjoy beach time or take part in optional activities such as snorkeling on the coral reef or a traditional pirogue outing, depending on sea conditions. This slower day offers a perfect contrast to the previous road journey and time to unwind by the ocean.
