Day 1

Serengeti National Park

Serengeti National Park

After breakfast, you’ll set off for Serengeti National Park. Depending on the time of year, you might witness the great migration of wildebeests, zebras, and Thomson’s gazelles. Typically, from October to November, during the short rainy season, they move from Kenya’s Masai Mara through the northwest Serengeti to the southern plains. After the long rains of April, May, and June, they generally travel back through the west and northwest Serengeti. Keep in mind that this timing can vary with rainfall.

Your guide will work hard to locate these incredible animals and ensure you have the best viewing opportunities. With the herds come predators, so you might even catch a glimpse of a hunt. You'll end the day at your accommodation ready for an overnight.
