Antananarivo to Andasibe Village

Meet at the hotel or airport and begin a scenic four-hour journey to Andasibe, travelling through lush countryside and beautiful rainforest landscapes. Upon arrival, head directly to Andasibe Lemurs Lodge for a memorable encounter with lemurs on their private island, offering wonderful opportunities to observe and interact with these playful animals.

After hotel check-in, continue the adventure with a visit to Vakona Forest Lodge’s private reserve, where several lemur species can be observed at close range, with opportunities for memorable photos. A short visit to Andasibe village offers a glimpse into local life and culture.

At 6:30 PM, set out for an exciting night walk safari in the community park, searching for nocturnal wildlife such as mouse lemurs, chameleons, frogs, and other endemic species.

Tip: Bring a raincoat, insect repellent, and flashlight for a comfortable evening experience.

Visit Analamazaotra National Park - Antananarivo

At 7:00 AM, begin the day with a guided walk through Analamazaotra National Park, one of Madagascar’s most renowned rainforest areas. A knowledgeable local guide will lead the exploration through lush, humid forest while sharing insights into the region’s unique ecosystem and remarkable biodiversity. Keep an eye out for the iconic Indri indri or Babakoto, Madagascar’s largest lemur, as well as endemic birds, plants, and other wildlife.

After lunch in Andasibe, begin the journey back to Antananarivo along National Road N°2. En route, stop at Madagascar Exotic, a private reserve dedicated to reptiles and chameleons, offering fascinating close encounters with Madagascar’s unique species.

Arrival in Antananarivo in the afternoon, followed by drop off at the hotel or airport according to your travel plans.
