Arusha to Tarangire National Park
The adventure begins!
Leaving Arusha in the morning, we journey towards the beautiful Tarangire National Park for our first game drive — and the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s incredible wildlife.
Famous for its ancient baobab trees, large elephant herds and beautiful landscapes, Tarangire offers unforgettable wildlife encounters from the very first day. From elephants wandering across the plains to giraffes, zebras, wildebeest and, with a little luck, some of Africa’s iconic predators, every turn brings a new moment to remember.
After an exciting day exploring Tarangire, we leave the park and continue to our accommodation for dinner, relaxation and a well-deserved rest.
And just like that, Day 1 of an unforgettable Tanzanian safari comes to an end.

Ngorongoro Crater to Arusha
After an early breakfast, you will drive down the steep and narrow road that takes you into the crater. The slopes are forested but soon the landscape changes to savannah. Here, the wildlife is just breathtaking, and with a little luck, you can observe the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino and leopard – in just a few hours. You should also see warthogs, wildebeests, zebras, hippos and some of the more than 500 bird species of the area. After a morning dedicated to game viewing and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the early afternoon to drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the early evening.
Note: If you are booking a flight after the safari, kindly consider booking an evening flight from Arusha Airport or Kilimanjaro Airport.
