After an early breakfast, depart Arusha with your picnic lunch for the approximately 2.5–3 hour drive to Tarangire National Park. The sixth largest park in Tanzania, Tarangire lies slightly off the main safari circuit, offering a scenic mix of classic African savannah, rolling green hills, woodlands, and rivers. It is especially renowned for its large herds of elephants, spectacular birdlife, and iconic giant baobab trees. Here, you’ll witness nature in harmony with the traditional way of life of the Maasai community.
