Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park
The entire day is set aside for game driving in Serengeti National Park. The Serengeti is home to an abundance of wildlife, including impalas, buffalo, crocodiles, and hippos, but it is best known for its great herds of migrating zebras and wildebeest. The rainfall determines the animals’ trek and varies from year to year. In November and December, the animals move from the northern region, dominated by woodlands and hills, to the grassy plains of the south. During the longer rainy season from April to June, they return to the north. Apart from the migrating herds, you might have the chance to see predators, such as leopards, cheetahs, and lions, always lurking close by.

After breakfast, you'll enjoy an enroute game drive in Serengeti and later drive to Ngorongoro Conservation and descend into the 100-square-mile Ngorongoro Crater to view the game on the vast grasslands of the crater floor.
The bottom of the crater, dotted with watering holes, shelters almost 30,000 animals in an area naturally enclosed by the volcano's slopes. You will find the Big Five: lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world, surrounded by very steep walls that rise 610 meters from the floor. It is considered one of the natural wonders of the world and a veritable wildlife haven. Spectacular animal life can be observed year-round, thanks to the year-round availability of grass and water.
