Kigali City Exploration and Journey to Musanze

After enjoying a hearty breakfast, you will check out of the lodge and set out to visit the Kigali Genocide Memorial Centre. This powerful site offers a comprehensive look at the 1994 Genocide Against the Tutsi, during which nearly one million Rwandans lost their lives over the course of just 100 days. Following your visit, you will stop for lunch at a local restaurant, then continue your journey with a scenic drive to Volcanoes National Park. Gorilla Trekking and Heritage Tour

Following an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Volcanoes National Park headquarters, where you will receive a briefing on the guidelines for gorilla trekking. After the briefing, you will be assigned to a trekking group and a specific gorilla family to track.

Embark on your trek through the forest in pursuit of these majestic creatures. The duration of the trek can range from 2 to 6 hours, depending on the gorillas’ movements and the pace of your group. Once you locate the gorillas, you will have up to one hour to observe and admire them in their natural habitat.

Enjoy a picnic lunch deep within the equatorial forest before making your way back.

After the trek, return to the lodge to freshen up and relax.

Later in the afternoon, immerse yourself in Rwandan culture through a local cultural experience, offering a deeper understanding of the country’s rich traditions and customs.

In Search of the Golden Monkey, then Departure to Kigali

After a delightful early breakfast, our safari driver guide will pick you up for an exhilarating golden monkey trekking adventure. You'll journey into the lush jungle in search of these charming primates. While this trek shares similarities with gorilla trekking, it is generally less demanding and offers a unique opportunity to observe these playful creatures.

Upon completing your trek, you'll return to the lodge for a relaxing lunch. In the afternoon, you'll transfer to Kigali. Enjoy a brief tour of the city, taking in some of its highlights and vibrant atmosphere before your evening airport transfer.
