Zanzibar to Nyerere National Park

You will start your safari in Zanzibar Airport, where you have to arrive 60 minutes before your departure time. Upon your arrival at Nyerere National Park ( Mtemere Airstrip ), you will be met by the driver-guide who will transfer you to the camp or lodge for check-in. At around 4:00 pm, you'll depart for an adventurous and romantic sunset boat safari along the great Rufiji River to spot hippos, crocodiles, and birds, and enjoy the spectacular sundown.

Nyerere National Park Expedition

After an early breakfast, our driver-guide will pick you up from your camp for a full day game drive to Nyerere National Park, exploring the game in the surrounding areas. Animals, including elephants, giraffes, lions, buffalo, zebras, and even the rare African wild dogs, are common. A picnic lunch will be served at midday. Later on, you'll return to the camp or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Walking Safari and Depature

Early morning walking safari usually starts at 6:30 am after first-morning tea or coffee, accompanied by an armed ranger, and it will take around 2-3 hours. A walking safari is a fantastic way to learn more about the park's bushes. After enjoying your breakfast in the morning. You'll check out, followed by a transfer to Mtemere Airstrip for the departure on a scheduled flight at 10:30 am or 12:50 pm to Zanzibar.
