Fly from Zanzibar - Arusha - Tarangire National Park
Your safari adventure begins today! You will be picked up by our driver from your hotel in Zanzibar and driven to the airport for your flight to Arusha Airport. You will fly for an hour in a small plane to Arusha. Our safari manager will wait for you at the airport to welcome you in Arusha and brief you about your 5-day safari. Later, our professional safari guide will pick you up from the airport and drive you for 2 hours to Tarangire National Park.
The park is well-known for its large elephant herds and abundance of ancient baobab trees (the largest trees on the continent). From the open roof of the vehicle, you will experience the seasonal swamps, savannah, and Tarangire River. The park is full of wildlife ranging from a large variety of birds to giraffes, impalas, zebras, lions, leopards, elands, warthogs and elephants. Later, you will drive to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Karatu - Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, you will depart towards the Rift Valley, passing through Mto wa Mbu and Karatu in the cooler regions of the crater highlands. You will enter the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and stop for a short look into the crater from a viewing point. Continuing your journey around the crater, you will descend to the other side, enjoying your free “African massage” on the bumpy road, passing Maasai villages on your way to the Serengeti National Park.
At the Naabi Hill entrance gate, you can walk to a viewpoint with spectacular views across the plains of the Serengeti savannah. You will then continue towards the Seronera Area in the central part of the Serengeti. The park offers a multitude of wildlife, including the Big Five – lion, elephant, buffalo, rhino, and leopard. Late in the afternoon, you will arrive at the Serengeti Heritage Tented Camp. The camp is in a secluded area in the heart of the bush, and the stars at night are breathtaking. Lunch will be enjoyed en route.

Day 3
Serengeti National Park (Full Day)
Serengeti National Park (Full Day)
You can wake up early for a sunrise game drive to try and catch up with the rare nocturnal animal species and the early risers among the diurnal ones. It is a nice time to see animals within a close distance as most game like to line up at the roadsides to escape the morning dew. After breakfast at your camp, you will spend the full day doing game drives within Serengeti National Park.
The name Serengeti comes from the Maasai word "Siringiti", which means plains without end. True to the name, you will explore vast stretches of African savannah in search of the many animals that Serengeti has to offer. Apart from the wildebeests, you can expect to spot other animals, including elephants, lions, cheetahs, elusive leopards, zebras, elands, and many resident and migratory birds.

After breakfast at your lodge, we check out and head out for one more game drive in the Serengeti. You will explore the Seronera River Valley, which is rich in wildlife and birdlife, or anywhere else in the Serengeti as per your professional safari guide’s guidance.
Your safari guide will, as usual, be in constant contact with other guides around through the VHF high-frequency radios fitted in our safari cars, so he will have a better idea of the best places to explore. Later in the afternoon, you will drive back to the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and check in at a mid-range lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 5
Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha/Kilimanjaro - Zanzibar
Ngorongoro Crater - Arusha/Kilimanjaro - Zanzibar
After an early breakfast at your lodge (or with a packed breakfast), you will descend to the crater floor for game drives in the Ngorongoro Crater. The earlier you arrive, the better your chances of seeing rare animals like black rhinos, with a little luck.
Spend the better part of the morning exploring the Ngorongoro Crater until lunchtime. With its 600- to 650-meter-high walls, the crater is like a natural zoo with the highest concentration of wild animals. If you're lucky, you can even spot the Big Five in one day. After a picnic lunch, which you will most likely take at the hippo pool designated picnic site, you will drive up the crater rim and exit the conservation area. Then, you will have a flight to Zanzibar, where your safari will end.
