Fly from Zanzibar to Arusha Then Drive to Serengeti National Park

You will take the morning flight from Zanzibar Airport to Arusha Airport, provided by our agency. Upon your arrival at Arusha Airport (ARK), our Professional Safari guide will pick you up for a short briefing. Then, you'll depart directly to Serengeti National Park via Olduvai Gorge, en route wildlife viewing and photographing with the picnic lunch. The oldest and most popular National Park, a World Heritage Site recently proclaimed as the 7th Wonder of the World, Serengeti is famed for its Annual Wildebeest Migration and an uncountable number of predators. Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Serengeti Ang'ata Camp on a full board basis.

The Endless Plain

You'll start your day with an early game drive to spot nocturnal predators and animals stirring at sunrise. After breakfast, you will enjoy a full-day safari tracking the Great Migration—watch herds of wildebeest and zebras on the move, followed by predators in action. You'll spend the night at Ang'ata Serengeti Camp with dinner under the stars.

Serengeti to Ngorongoro Crater

You'll depart early for the Ngorongoro Crater tour, descending to the crater floor for the game drive and photographing with the picnic lunch. The largest collapsed unbroken caldera in the world, with a high concentration of big game wildlife. Ngorongoro is a special place, which is a Conservation Area, not a national park; this means that the whole area is managed for both the animals and the local Maasai people who graze their cattle alongside the indigenous wildlife. You'll proceed with your game drive in this so-called “Man and Biosphere Reserve”. Dinner and overnight stay will be at Bougainvillea Safari Lodge on a full board basis.

After breakfast, you'll check out and drive to Arusha Airport for your flight to Zanzibar, where our safari guide will pick you off at Arusha Airport. Optional stops include a cultural visit to a Maasai village and browsing local curio shops for handmade crafts and souvenirs. Just inform your guide in advance. You'll arrive at the airport in time for your onward flight to Zanzibar’s tropical shores.
