We pick you up at your lodge and depart to encounter Africa’s wilderness at Tarangire National Park, with picnic lunches for a 2-hour drive. Tarangire is the park that can boast of being home to Tanzania's largest population of African elephants. You will spend enough hours on game drives throughout the day, ensuring your satisfaction. Traverse stunning landscapes and encounter magnificent elephant herds and ancient baobab trees. Amidst the wilderness, a delightful picnic lunch awaits. Accompanied by an expert guide, immerse yourself in the captivating sights and sounds of the African wilderness. While elephants take centre stage, Tarangire is home to a variety of other wildlife, including lions, leopards, cheetahs, giraffes, wildebeests, zebras, and various antelope species such as impalas and gazelles. Depart for a transfer game drive as you head to your lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast, you will be picked up from your lodge. On the way to Serengeti, you will pass by the Ngorongoro Highland and enjoy the crater view before heading to your destination. The name Serengeti originates from the Maasai word Siringitu which means endless plains. You will see why the Maasai gave this region this name as the grassland savannah stretches to the horizon in the South and is only interrupted by the so-called kopjes. These kopjes are bizarre rock formations formed by the weathering of granite outcrops. The plains are the perfect hunting grounds for leopards and other big cats. You will have an excellent chance to view these magnificent creatures in their natural habitat through the open roof of the vehicle. In the afternoon, you will have a standard home meal and then, later on, arrive at your destination for the day.

Day 3

After breakfast, continue your game drive through the Serengeti National Park, exploring the Seronera Valley where vast herds of wildebeest and zebra mingle with lions, leopards and cheetahs. Drive across sweeping grasslands and past distinctive granite kopjes that offer lookout points for predators and panoramic views; scan riverine corridors and shaded acacia woodlands for elephant, giraffe and abundant birdlife, including raptors and kori bustards. Your guide will track sightings, explain animal behavior, and stop at scenic spots for photos and short walks where permitted. Enjoy a leisurely lunch in the park before departing on a transfer game drive toward the Ngorongoro Highlands, crossing changing landscapes and watching the habitat transition as you exit the Serengeti and ascend to your lodge.

Wake to birdsong and set out on a morning game drive into the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, a dramatic volcanic caldera whose verdant floor hosts a dense mix of wildlife against a backdrop of steep crater walls. Track the Big Five; lion, elephant, buffalo, leopard and the critically endangered black rhino alongside hyena clans, graceful gazelles, vast flocks of flamingos at seasonal lakes, and spirited baboon troops; birdlife is abundant with raptors, kori bustards and hundreds of species. Your guide will interpret animal behavior and point out rare sightings, creating unforgettable close-up encounters in this fertile, enclosed ecosystem. Optional visits to a nearby Maasai village provide cultural insight into traditional life. Late afternoon, drive out of the crater on a scenic transfer toward Arusha, where you’ll enjoy dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable mid-range lodge.
