Nairobi-Amboseli National Park

Morning pickup from your Nairobi hotel and drive south through Maasai country to Amboseli. Arrive at Amboseli Sopa Lodge in time for lunch and check-in. Afternoon game drive across the open plains, with chances to see elephants, giraffes, buffalo, and big cats, often with Mount Kilimanjaro as a backdrop. Return to the lodge for dinner and overnight. Optional (extra cost): Maasai village visit, bush sundowner.

Start with a sunrise game drive when wildlife is most active and the mountain is often clear. Explore the Enkongo Narok and Ol Tukai swamps for elephants and hippos, and climb Observation Hill for sweeping views. Picnic or hot lunch depending on the day’s plan, then continue with an afternoon drive. Return to the lodge to relax by the pool or enjoy the firelit lounge.
