Meet at your hotel and set off south towards Belo sur Mer, travelling through beautiful coastal landscapes. Along the way, admire expansive savannas dotted with majestic baobabs, winding rivers, and traditional villages of the Sakalava people.
12:00 PM – Arrival and Lunch
After approximately four hours of travel, arrive in Belo sur Mer and enjoy a delicious lunch featuring fresh seafood and local specialties.
Afternoon – Traditional Boat Building
Visit a nearby village renowned for its traditional Botry boat craftsmanship. Meet local artisans and discover the techniques passed down through generations to build these iconic sailing boats.
Evening – Free Time

Morning – Boat Excursion to Andravona Island
Set out by motorboat towards beautiful Andravona Island, surrounded by crystal clear waters and pristine coastal scenery. Enjoy time for swimming, snorkeling, and fishing while discovering the peaceful marine environment.
Lunch – Fresh Seafood Picnic
While relaxing on the island, the crew will prepare a delicious picnic featuring fresh seafood and local vegetables, offering an authentic taste of the region.
Afternoon – Return to Belo sur Mer
Cruise back to Belo sur Mer while keeping an eye out for seabirds and, between June and September, playful dolphins that may appear along the way.
Evening – Sunset by the Ocean
End the day by admiring a spectacular sunset over the Mozambique Channel, followed by free time to relax and enjoy the tranquil atmosphere of Belo sur Mer.

Early Morning – Departure from Belo sur Mer
Enjoy an early breakfast before setting off towards Andavadoaka, a remote fishing village along Madagascar’s southwestern coast. The journey takes you through scenic savannas and remaining forest areas dotted with impressive baobabs, offering plenty of opportunities for memorable photographs.
Scenic Drive and Bevoay River Crossing
Along the way, encounter herds of zebus, an important symbol of Malagasy culture and rural life. Continue towards the Bevoay River, where the vehicle crosses by ferry before the journey continues through changing landscapes of rice fields, scattered baobabs, and traditional villages.
Late Afternoon – Arrival in Andavadoaka
Arrive in Andavadoaka in the late afternoon and check in at the hotel. The remainder of the day is free to relax and enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of this authentic coastal village.

Unwind with a relaxing massage in the peaceful coastal setting, or, during whale season, keep an eye on the ocean for sightings of majestic whales. Adventure seekers can explore the surrounding baobab forest by 4x4 or on foot.
For a marine adventure, discover nearby islands by canoe, pirogue, motorboat, or catamaran, or take a kayak through the mangroves while observing local wildlife and enjoying the untouched coastal scenery.

Morning – Journey to Mangily
After breakfast, set off for Mangily on a scenic four hour journey along sandy tracks and remote coastal landscapes. Enjoy views of the southwestern countryside and traditional villages along the way.
Arrival and Check in
Upon reaching Mangily, settle into the hotel and take some time to refresh before the afternoon activities.
Afternoon – Tortoise Village and Reniala Reserve
Visit the Village of the Tortoise and explore Reniala Nature Reserve, home to fascinating endemic wildlife and unique southern flora. Continue with a visit to a traditional fishing village, offering an authentic glimpse into local coastal life.
