Pick up from the Airport

You will be picked up and driven to Akagera National Park on arrival at the airport.
(If you arrive after 4:00 pm, we advise you to arrange an overnight stay in Kigali city.
On our way, we enjoy the beautiful landscape and the rural way of life of the local people.
Upon arrival at the accommodation, enjoy your hot lunch and embark on a short afternoon game drive and later the park rangers will pick you up from the hotel for a guided night/ evening game drive in search of the park’s diverse wildlife. This drive offers a chance to spot leopards, hyenas, mongooses, and bush babies among other fascinating nocturnal creatures. With a bit of luck, you might witness some rare sightings in their natural habitat.

Akagera National Park

Embark on an early morning game drive through Akagera National Park where you will have the opportunity to spot elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, Zebras, antelopes, and if lucky lions and Rhinos. The morning hours provide the best chance to see predators and other wildlife before the heat of the day sets in!
Afternoon enjoy a relaxing boat trip on Lake Ihema which is home to hippos, crocodiles, and a variety of water birds including the African fish eagles and kingfishers. This boat safari offers a unique perspective of the park's aquatic ecosystem and stunning landscapes.
