Day 1

Have breakfast and later you will be picked up by our tour guide and be transferred to Jinja. This journey will take you through scenic views where you will see the Mabira forest and plantations. Check in to the lodge and have lunch and later proceed to have a boat cruise to the source of the Nile. Return to the lodge for dinner and accommodation.

Day 2

Transfer to Kapchorwa

Transfer to Kapchorwa

After breakfast, drive (about 3.5 hours) to Sipi Falls to have an amazing experience, located at the foot of Mount Elgon. Sipi Falls consists of three stunning waterfalls, surrounded by lush forest and coffee plantations. You will check In to the lodge and have lunch and then spend the afternoon hiking through the foothills of Mount Elgon. There are different trail options, but the most popular is a 3-hour loop that will take you to all three falls. Along the way, enjoy views of the waterfalls, the rich vegetation, and the coffee farms that produce Uganda’s famous Arabica coffee. Return back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Day 3

Transfer to Pian Upe Game Reserve

After breakfast, depart for Pian Upe Wildlife Reserve (approximately 4-5 hours by road). This remote reserve is one of Uganda’s lesser-visited gems, and it offers great opportunities for game viewing, including giraffes, zebras, and lions. Enjoy a packed lunch along the way, with a chance to stretch your legs at a scenic spot or small village. Arrive at Pian Upe and settle into your accommodation. Pian Upe is home to several species, including Uganda's only population of cheetahs and leopards.

Begin with an early morning game drive immediately after breakfast, as this is the best time to see wildlife. Look out for large herds of buffalo, zebras, and eland, as well as predators like hyenas and cheetahs. Drive to some scenic spots within the reserve, where you can relax and enjoy the view of the vast savannah as you have your lunch. After lunch, visit the hot springs within the reserve, a unique feature of Pian Upe. These natural geothermal springs are surrounded by fascinating rock formations and are a peaceful spot to explore. Go back to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

Enjoy lunch on the way. Arrive at Kidepo Valley National Park and settle into your accommodation. The park is home to a diverse array of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, lions, giraffes, and many bird species. Relax at your lodge and enjoy a sunset view over the Kidepo Valley.

Kidepo is also one of the best places to see large herds of elephants and buffaloes. Visit the Manyattas for a cultural experience

After breakfast, head to the villages of the karamonjongs known as the Manyattas. The Karamojong people are semi-nomadic pastoralists, and you can learn about their traditional way of life, crafts, and dances. You will take a guided walk through the villages, where you will learn about the unique lifestyle of the Karamojong people. You may also see traditional crafts like beadwork and leatherwork, as well as interact with local women and children. After the cultural experience, return back to the lodge in the late afternoon to have some rest, dinner, and overnight.
