5-Day Nairobi to Maasai Mara

Nairobi to Maasai Mara

We depart Nairobi in the morning and begin our journey to the Maasai Mara, a 5-hour drive. We will stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint for photos and brief sightseeing.

After arriving at the Maasai Mara, we check into the camp or lodge, followed by lunch. After lunch, we embark on our first game drive in the afternoon, exploring the park’s wildlife, including the Big Five and stunning savannah landscapes. We can also visit a Maasai village and enjoy Maasai culture and beauty. In the evening, we return to the lodge and call it a day.

Maasai Mara

After breakfast, set off for a full-day game drive in the park. Explore different areas of the reserve, including the Mara River, which is famous for its wildebeest migration and crocodiles. After the first half of the day game drive, we will have a picnic lunch in the park or at the hotel. After lunch, we continue the game drive, capturing wildlife like lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffaloes, rhinos, caracals and serval cats.

After the game drive, we will have an optional activity such as a hot-air balloon safari (extra cost) or a nature walk. Alternatively, continue exploring the park with a professional guide.

Maasai Mara to Lake Nakuru

After breakfast and checking out of the lodge, we enjoy a final early morning game drive in the Maasai Mara. After the game drive, we depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, a 4-hour drive. On arrival at Lake Nakuru National Park, we will check in at the lodge and have lunch.

In the afternoon, we head for a short game drive at Lake Nakuru National Park to see animals such as giraffes, rhinos and birds such as flamingoes, which is renowned worldwide for its beauty and ecological significance. After the game drive, we return to our lodge to relax and prepare for the next day’s activities.

Amboseli National Park

After breakfast at Lake Nakuru, depart for Amboseli National Park, enjoying a scenic drive through Kenya’s diverse landscapes. Arrive at the lodge or camp in time for check-in and lunch. In the afternoon, head out for an exciting game drive in the park, famous for its large elephant herds and spectacular views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa’s highest peak. The drive offers opportunities to spot wildlife such as lions, cheetahs, giraffes, zebras, and a variety of bird species before returning to the lodge for dinner and overnight.

After breakfast at the lodge, check out and begin the drive back to Nairobi. Enjoy the scenic journey through the countryside as you head back to the city. Arrive in Nairobi in the afternoon, marking the end of your safari experience in Amboseli National Park.
