Coast Region – Tsavo East National Park

Your safari begins with an early morning departure from your hotel at the coast—whether in Mombasa, Diani, Watamu, or Malindi. As you journey inland, the landscape gradually shifts from coastal plains to open savannah. You’ll arrive at Tsavo East National Park, one of Kenya’s largest and oldest parks, by mid-morning. Upon entering the park, your game drive starts immediately, giving you the chance to spot the park's famous red elephants, along with lions, giraffes, zebras, buffalos, and more. You'll explore wildlife-rich areas like the Aruba Dam or the Galana River, with a stop for lunch at a lodge or camp inside the park. After a short rest, head out for an afternoon game drive to experience more of Tsavo East’s wide open plains and abundant wildlife. As the day comes to a close, you’ll return to your accommodation for dinner and an overnight stay inside or near the park, surrounded by the sounds of the African wilderness.

Tsavo East – Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary

After breakfast, you’ll check out and enjoy a final game drive as you exit Tsavo East, heading toward the nearby Taita Hills Wildlife Sanctuary. This private conservancy, located adjacent to Tsavo West, offers a more intimate and scenic safari experience, with rolling hills, acacia woodlands, and open plains. Arriving around midday, you’ll check in at your lodge. After lunch and some relaxation, you’ll embark on an afternoon game drive within the sanctuary, where you might spot elephants, lions, buffalo, giraffes, and a variety of antelope species. The private nature of the conservancy allows for peaceful viewing away from crowds. As the sun sets, return to your lodge for dinner and enjoy the magical experience of watching animals gather at the floodlit waterholes beneath your room. Overnight at Taita Hills.
