Transfer to Murchison falls nile boat cruise top of the falls evening game drive

After breakfast and a briefing from your driver-guide, depart Kampala for Murchison Falls National Park through Uganda’s changing countryside. Upon arrival, visit the iconic Top of the Falls viewpoint, where the Nile forces through a narrow gorge before crashing powerfully below in a cloud of mist and thunder.

After lunch, enjoy an afternoon boat cruise on the Victoria Nile toward the base of the falls. Along the riverbanks, expect sightings of hippos, crocodiles, elephants, buffalo, and abundant birdlife, with spectacular views of the falls from below.

Continue with an evening game drive in the park’s northern sector, the best wildlife-viewing area in Murchison. In the golden evening light, look out for lions, Uganda kob, elephants, and buffalo as your guide searches for active wildlife across the savannah.

After the game drive, proceed to Masindi Hotel for dinner and overnight.

Chimpanzee Tracking in Budongo Forest & Return

After breakfast, drive to Budongo Forest Reserve for a guided chimpanzee tracking experience. Following a briefing from the Uganda Wildlife Authority rangers, enter the ancient mahogany forest in search of one of the habituated chimpanzee communities. Along the way, look out for colobus monkeys, hornbills, and other forest wildlife.

Once the chimpanzees are located, spend a memorable hour observing them in their natural habitat as they feed, groom, play, and communicate within the forest canopy. Your ranger-guide shares insights into their behaviour and social dynamics, making the experience both immersive and educational.

After tracking, check out from Masindi Hotel and begin the return journey to Kampala or Entebbe, arriving in time for onward international flights.
