Tarangire National Park elephants and baobabs on measure – 135km
Early in the morning, after a tasty breakfast, we drive to Tarangire National Park. The drive will take about 2 hours and will give us a good picture of the rural region in Tanzania. Tarangire is famous for its large numbers of elephants and the peculiar baobab trees. The life-giving Tarangire River meanders through the savannah-like park landscape. Many animals gather on the river and allow for excellent game viewing. In addition to a large number of elephants, the park is also home to giraffes, bushbuck, buffalo, zebras, wildebeest, and much more. Sightings of predators such as lions, leopards, and hyenas are always possible. From the open roof of the jeep, you can enjoy the landscape and observe the wildlife.
After a full day in the park, you'll drive to the superbly equipped lodge in Karatu, where you'll have dinner in the aesthetically appealing restaurant. Your overnight stay will be at Eileen’s Trees Inn (B|L|D).

You'll enjoy a day of unparalleled wildlife viewing. The Ngorongoro Crater and the surrounding highlands together form one of the most beautiful regions in Africa. Volcanic craters create a breathtaking backdrop for some of the most fertile and richest pastures in Africa. The most famous crater of this type is without question Ngorongoro, the largest intact volcanic caldera on earth, and is home to the highest density of large game in Africa.
