Day 1-2

Welcome to Wild Luxury - Transfer to Samburu National Reserve

Welcome to Wild Luxury - Transfer to Samburu National Reserve

Upon arrival in Nairobi, your private driver-guide will greet you and escort you on a scenic 5–6 hour drive to the remote and captivating Samburu region. As you leave behind the city, the landscape gradually transforms into dramatic, arid terrain dotted with doum palms and rocky outcrops. Arrive at your ultra-luxury lodge in time for lunch and a refreshing welcome. After a brief rest, set out on your first afternoon game drive in search of Samburu’s famed “Special Five”—the Grevy’s zebra, reticulated giraffe, Somali ostrich, gerenuk, and beisa oryx. End your day with a sundowner overlooking the riverbanks or rugged hills, followed by a candlelit dinner under the stars.

Start the next day with an early morning game drive when wildlife is most active. Watch elephants move in family herds and predators patrol the plains. After breakfast, enjoy the lodge’s amenities—perhaps a dip in the pool or a rejuvenating spa treatment. Return to your lodge for a sundowner and a gourmet dinner.

Onward to the Legendary Masai Mara in Search of the Big 5

After breakfast, you’ll be transferred to the airstrip for a short, scenic flight to the world-famous Masai Mara. From above, watch the landscape shift from Samburu’s rugged hills to the golden grasslands of southern Kenya. You will then be transferred to your luxury lodge or tented camp in a prime wildlife area. Enjoy a warm welcome, gourmet lunch, and a complimentary massage. Later that afternoon, head out for your first Masai Mara game drive, with chances to spot lions, elephants, and cheetahs. Return to the lodge for cocktails by the fire and a refined dinner under the stars.

Over the next two days, experience morning and afternoon game drives when wildlife activity peaks. Your guide will tailor each drive to your interests—whether it’s tracking the Big Five or witnessing the Great Migration (July–October). Midday hours are yours to relax at the lodge, enjoy the spa, or take in the views.
