Zanzibar - Nyerere National Park - via Dar es Salaam

Early in the morning, our driver will pick you up from your hotel in Zanzibar and transfer you to the airport for your flight to Dar es Salaam.

Upon arrival at Dar es Salaam Airport, you will meet our professional safari guide who will drive you to Nyerere National Park (formerly Selous Game Reserve). The journey takes approximately 4 hours.

You will arrive in the afternoon, check in at your lodge, and enjoy lunch before some relaxation time.

In the evening, experience a scenic boat safari along the Rufiji River, where you will enjoy a beautiful sunset while observing wildlife along the riverbanks. You may see hippos, crocodiles, a variety of bird species, snakes, lizards, and other aquatic animals in their natural habitat.

Nyerere National Park Full Game Drive

After breakfast, you will leave your lodge for a full-day game drive in Selous (Nyerere National Park) and you will take a packed lunch with you. Selous (Nyerere National Park) is an untouched wilderness and a great place to do a safari. The park has different species of flora and fauna from crocodiles to big herds of elephants which are often seen along the river. Rufiji River is home to hippos and crocodiles as well as thousands of aqua birds which are seen along the river trying to catch some fish. Big cats like lions and leopards are also common in this beautiful park.

Nyerere National Park - Zanzibar via Dar es Salaam

After breakfast, check out from the lodge and enjoy a short guided walking safari with a local Bushman, where you will learn about traditional survival skills and nature interpretation.

After the experience, transfer to Dar es Salaam for your late evening or night flight to Zanzibar.

Upon arrival in Zanzibar, you will be met and transferred to your hotel or onward destination, marking the end of your unforgettable safari adventure in Nyerere National Park.
