Day 1-2

Waterberg Plateau Hiking, Wildlife & Scenic Game Drives

Waterberg Plateau Hiking, Wildlife & Scenic Game Drives

Meet your private guide in Windhoek or at the airport before travelling north to Waterberg Plateau Park, one of Namibia’s most scenic conservation areas.

On arrival, enjoy a guided nature hike up the sandstone plateau where breathtaking views stretch across the surrounding bushveld. The cooler mountain climate, dramatic cliffs and wilderness atmosphere make Waterberg one of Namibia’s finest hiking destinations.

The following day is dedicated to morning and afternoon game drives searching for wildlife including white rhino, sable antelope, roan antelope, giraffe, kudu, leopard, brown hyaena and cheetah. Birding is exceptional with over 200 recorded species including Verreaux’s Eagle and Namibia’s only breeding colony of Cape Vultures.

This two-night stay combines wilderness scenery, hiking and conservation-focused wildlife experiences.

Eastern Etosha Private Guided Wildlife Safari

Eastern Etosha Private Guided Wildlife Safari

After breakfast, continue to the eastern region of Etosha National Park for two days of exceptional wildlife viewing.

Eastern Etosha receives slightly higher rainfall than other regions of the park, supporting natural springs and productive grazing areas that attract large concentrations of wildlife. Morning and afternoon private guided game drives focus on waterholes and open plains where huge herds of zebra, springbok, blue wildebeest and black-faced impala gather.

These grazing herds attract predators including lion, leopard, cheetah, spotted hyaena and brown hyaena, offering excellent opportunities for dramatic wildlife encounters and photography.

Birdlife is equally rewarding with over 340 species recorded including raptors, vultures and dry-country specials unique to Etosha’s eastern plains.

Full-Day Game Drive from Eastern to Southern Etosha

Full-Day Game Drive from Eastern to Southern Etosha

Today enjoy a full-day transit safari through Etosha as you travel from the eastern plains toward the southern section of the park.

This game drive focuses on Etosha’s famous waterholes which attract wildlife throughout the day. The scenery changes from open savannah and natural springs to more arid landscapes with artificial waterholes concentrated along the southern edges of the Etosha Pan.

Large elephant herds, giraffe, zebra, antelope and predators are regularly encountered along this route, making the journey itself a rewarding safari experience rather than simply a transfer.

Arrive at your lodge outside southern Etosha in preparation for the next stage of your Namibian wildlife adventure.

Okonjima Reserve, AfriCat Foundation & Leopard Tracking

After an early breakfast, travel south to Okonjima Nature Reserve, home of the renowned AfriCat Foundation.

Begin with a guided visit to the conservation centre where you will learn about Namibia’s carnivores, human-wildlife conflict challenges and the important conservation work being done to protect species such as leopard and cheetah.

Guests also have the opportunity to see the ambassador cheetahs and gain insight into rehabilitation, research and conservation education programmes.

In the afternoon, embark on one of Namibia’s most exciting wildlife activities — leopard tracking. Using radio telemetry equipment, your local guide tracks one of the reserve’s wild leopards while exploring the reserve in an open safari vehicle. This offers a rare opportunity to observe these elusive cats in their natural environment.
