On arrival in Rwanda, you will be welcomed and picked up by our Kubwa Five Safaris guide, who will be holding
an A4 paper with your name printed on it at Kigali International Airport and be transferred to Akagera National Park. On arrival, you will check into your lodge and have lunch.
After lunch, you will have a short game drive on your way to the boat cruise.
The park hosts several big mammals, the most sought after being lions, buffalo, giraffes, zebras, elephants, and hippos, which will provide great photographic moments. You will search for big mammals like elephants, giraffes, buffalo, several antelope species, and recently, the reintroduced lions and rhinos. The park is a varied habitat for wildlife and a birder's haven with over 500 bird species.
Look out for lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo, rhino, giraffe, zebra and warthog among others.

After having an early breakfast, you will have an early morning game drive at 6:00am driving around the park's thick and hilly southern part. The hilly region will give you great views of this park's lakes, hills, and valleys. With the guidance of your site
guide, you will be searching for big mammals like elephants, giraffes, buffaloes, several antelope species, and recently the re-introduced lions and rhinos.
At around midday, you will be driven back to Kigali. You will have lunch on your way to Kigali. On arrival, you will check into your lodge and do some relaxing.

After breakfast, you will be driven northwards to Volcanoes National Park. On arrival in Musanze (Ruhengeri), you will visit the Dian Fossey Center (Karisoke Research Center).
In the evening, you will visit the Iby’iwacu village for community interaction and to enjoy the Rwandan culture, which includes traditional dancing.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will assemble at the park headquarters for a briefing in the morning with your trekking gear and drinking water and venture into the forest to track the golden monkeys. While participating in golden money trekking, you will learn interesting facts about golden monkeys that will make your Rwandan tour most enjoyable.
After lunch, you will be driven to Uganda's Bwindi Impenetrable National Park, home of the famous mountain gorillas.
Supporting almost half the world's mountain gorillas, Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is arguably the best place anywhere in the world to track these charismatic gentle giants through their misty forest home.

Day 5

After breakfast, you will head to the park head offices with your guide and packed lunch, for a briefing about the do’s and don’ts while in the park with gorillas. After, you will go for gorilla trekking through the misty rain forest. Trekking can take 2 hours or up to 6 hours and this is based on the location of the gentle giants.
Make sure you carry enough water, sturdy shoes, non-flash cameras, and rain jackets. Spending time in the presence of mountain gorillas is a real privilege, so we're sure you'll enjoy trekking deep into the forest to find them.
At the end of this long and exciting adventure, return to our lodge to freshen up and rest a bit.
In the evening, you will head out for a community walk where you will visit the Batwa, which is an indigenous group of people that has lived in the forest for 500,000 years, enjoy traditional dances and drama from them.

After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the Ishasha sector for the tree-climbing lions on the Kasenyi Plains in the southern sector of Queen Elizabeth National Park. Running south from the shore of Lake Edward, the undulating plains of Queen Elizabeth National Park’s Ishasha sector are home to plentiful buffalo, elephant, waterbuck, topi and Uganda kob.
The main reason you're visiting Ishasha, however, is to search for its famous tree-climbing lions, which regularly spend their days lazing on the boughs of suitable acacias and sycamore figs. It's a truly remarkable sight you'll see in few places elsewhere in Africa.
After the game drive in Ishasha, you will be transferred to your lodge within Queen Elizabeth National Park, a park where animals and people coexist in harmony. The park is also Uganda’s most popular tourist destination.

You will depart at 6:00 am for a morning game drive in Queen Elizabeth National Park to catch the lions hunting in the morning. We also expect to see the Uganda kob, elephants, buffalo, warthogs, leopards, and waterbucks.
The world feels fresh and new on an early morning game drive, the sun has yet to beat down upon the earth, and it may end up being your favorite time to be out on safari.
After the morning game drive, you will go to your lodge for lunch.
After lunch, you'll head out for a boat cruise on the Kazinga Channel, which connects Lake Edward and Lake George. Expect to see large numbers of buffalo, elephants, and hippos.
After the boat trip, you will be transferred to Kibale National Park.

After breakfast, you and your guide together with a packed lunch will assemble at the park head office for a briefing about the do's and don'ts of chimpanzee trekking.
After the briefing, you will head out to trek the chimpanzees. The trekking takes about two to three hours, depending on the location of the chimpanzees.
After this amazing adventure, you will visit Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
You’ll go on a guided walk in the community-managed Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary bordering Kibale National Park. Here, you stand a good chance of spotting up to five monkey species. The forest birding is excellent, with a long list of colorful regulars that includes great blue turaco, papyrus gonolek, yellow-spotted barbet, and blue-throated roller.

After an early breakfast, you will depart to Murchison Falls National Park. The Murchison Falls National Park is Uganda’s largest protected area, home to more than 73 animal species, including buffaloes, leopards, lions, and elephants, and
3/4 of the world’s population of Rothschild giraffes plus a healthy population of other herbivores.
On your arrival in Murchison Falls National Park, you will go for an evening game drive. One of the few African safari destinations that can be explored by car, by boat or on guided walks, the 3,480km² Murchison Falls National Park is dominated geographically by the Nile River and 43m-high waterfall after which it is named.

After breakfast, you will set off very early in the morning for a morning game drive. Other activities in this game drive include bird watching and sightseeing across the open savannah, dotted woodland, and riverine vegetation along the Nile and Albert deltas.
After the morning game drive, you will head back to your lodge for lunch. After lunch, you will embark (between 2 pm and 4 pm) on a three-hour boat cruise on the Nile. This boat cruise offers an amazing view of the falls from the bottom. Hippos, crocodiles, antelopes, and aquatic birds can be seen along the shores of the river.
In the evening, you will go for an evening game drive.

After breakfast, you will head out for the top of the falls tour to see the most powerful waterfalls in the world. It is an exciting experience that brings you close to the rushing whitewater as it squeezes through the narrow crevice below. The mist from the turbulence often produces rainbows.
After the top of the falls tour, you will be transferred to Kampala.
On your way to Kampala, you will visit the Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for rhino tracking. Trekking rhinos is a unique activity here in Uganda, the pearl of Africa. After the rhino tracking, we will drive to Kampala.
Occupying a series of low hills and marshy valleys that roll northwards from Lake Victoria, Kampala has been an important political entity since the mid-19th-century reign of King Suuna II of Buganda.

After breakfast, we will be transferred to Entebbe International Airport for your flight to Kenya. Upon arrival at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, a Kubwa Five Safaris guide will meet you. You will recognize our guide as your name will be printed on an A4 paper. From here, you will be transferred to your hotel in Nairobi.
You will check in and rest.

Early in the morning, have breakfast, check out, and leave for Lake Naivasha. On arrival at Lake Naivasha National Park, you will check in at your lodge, have lunch and then get out for an evening boat ride.
Lake Naivasha National Park is arguably one of the main attractions in Kenya. For one, it is a gateway to a variety of wildlife. A boat excursion with your family will give you spectacular views of flamingoes, hippos, and fish eagles. We think you'll love exploring Lake Naivasha, the highest (and one of the loveliest) of Kenya's Rift Valley lakes.
Watch for hippos out on the lake, and for zebras and giraffes around the lake shore.

After breakfast, you will go bike riding at Hell's Gate National Park for about 2 hours. Expect a different experience in Hell's Gate National Park than in any other Kenyan park. With no predators here, you can get out of your vehicle to enjoy the gorge scenery and look for zebra, giraffe, impala, buffalo and rock hyrax.
After the bike riding, you will be driven to Lake Nakuru National Park, arriving at your lodge in the afternoon. After lunch, you will head out for an evening game drive.
Lake Nakuru National Park's claim to fame is anchored on its flamingos and the over 400 species of birds found here. The lake is a soda lake on the floor of the rift valley.
Lake Nakuru National Park has also earned a reputation as an important haven for endangered species, particularly the Rothschild giraffe and the black and white rhino. In addition, lions, waterbucks, buffalos, and baboons are all residents here.

After breakfast, you'll depart for Masai Mara National Reserve. You will pass through the rift valley floor.
In the Masai Mara National Reserve, perhaps the most spectacular event of the natural world occurs. This is the annual migration of millions of wildebeest and zebra from the Serengeti in Tanzania in search of water and greener pastures.
On arrival at Masai Mara National Reserve, you will visit the local Maasai village for a Maasai cultural tour. You'll learn about the Maasai community and interact with the local Maasai people. An overnight stay at the Maasai village can be organized upon request.
You will have an evening game drive later.

After breakfast, you will head out into the park for a full day game drive. You will spend the day in the reserve searching for well-known predators and their prey.
We will look for zebra, wildebeest, giraffe, lion, cheetah, elephant, buffalo, and other animal species. You will have a packed lunch.
An early morning balloon safari (US $485 per person) can be organized (optional activity) before we proceed with the scheduled program. We recommend that travelers book a balloon safari in advance. Unfortunately, we have limited capacity, and this adventure is frequently fully booked.
Later, you will have an evening game drive. The Masai Mara National Reserve offers wildlife in such variety and abundance that it is difficult to believe over 450 species of animals have been recorded here.

After an early breakfast, you will be driven to Isebania, the Kenya-Tanzania border, with packed lunches. We will meet our Tanzanian driver guide and change safari vehicles. After the formalities at the border are complete, we will drive to Serengeti National Park. You will have an evening game.
Watch also for the Serengeti’s famous lion prides. And that’s just the start. Some of the largest and most diverse wildlife populations on the planet roam the Serengeti, not to mention millions of wildebeest and zebras who migrate across the plains every year.

After breakfast, you will have a full day in the park, rising early to make the most of your time here. Should you wish to enjoy a hot air balloon safari in the Serengeti National Park, we can arrange this (optional activity).
The Serengeti National Park is Tanzania’s oldest national park, renowned for the great annual migration when millions of antelope, mostly wildebeest, migrate to Kenya’s Masai Mara National Reserve. This epic, seasonal journey is a deeply moving experience and a wonderful photo opportunity.
Visitors to the park can roam its sprawling plains during the game drives or hop into a hot air balloon for a once-in-a-lifetime wilderness adventure.
Our guides will choose the best animal spotting locations for the specific time of year. We will also spend time at the hippo pool, watching these majestic animals laze about in the cool water, happily living alongside the crocodiles. We might even see large lion prides!

After an early breakfast, you will be driven to Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive with packed lunches. Ngorongoro Crater is the world's largest inactive caldera.
You’ll learn why magical Ngorongoro is unlike anywhere else in Africa. Cloud forests encircle the crater rim, and the view out across the caldera of this former volcano – quite apart from the altitude – will leave you gasping for air.
Your drive down a steep trail carries you onto the crater floor where a unique wildlife offering is added to the sheer beauty of the experience. You’ll share the sunken ecosystem of the crater floor with hyenas, lions, elephants, black rhinos and hippos.
Late in the afternoon, we will drive you to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay.
