Many of the world’s most breathtaking nature documentaries have been filmed in this iconic park. Its name, *Serengeti*, comes from the Maasai word meaning “endless plains,” a fitting description of its nearly 15,000 km² (6,000 square miles) of unspoiled wilderness, making it Tanzania’s second-largest national park.

After a full-day game drive in the central Serengeti, you’ll head back to Ngare lodge for an overnight stay where you can relax and reflect on the day’s incredible encounters.
