You'll be picked up from the lodge early morning or the airport and start a beautiful journey to Tarangire National Park while carrying lunch boxes.

Tarangire National Park is well known for its large elephant herds, consists of a diversity of landscapes, from seasonal swamps to savannah, with the Tarangire River wending its way through the parklands. It is possible that we will have the experience of seeing a lion stalking its prey or leopards watching whilst relaxing in the trees above. Once game drives are done, we drive to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and an overnight stay.

After an early breakfast, depart from your lodge and head to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater for a full-day game drive with packed lunch boxes. Descend into the crater floor, one of Africa’s most extraordinary wildlife destinations and the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera.

The Ngorongoro Crater is home to approximately 30,000 animals year-round, offering exceptional wildlife viewing opportunities. You may encounter the Big Five, including lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and the endangered black rhino, as well as zebras, wildebeests, hyenas, hippos, and numerous bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards.

Enjoy a picnic lunch within the crater while surrounded by breathtaking scenery and abundant wildlife. After completing your game drive, ascend from the crater and return to your lodge in Karatu for dinner, relaxation, and an overnight stay.

Lake Eyasi for Cultural Experience and later drive back to Arusha

After breakfast, depart for Lake Eyasi, a unique cultural destination located in the Great Rift Valley. Upon arrival, you will visit the Hadzabe People, one of Tanzania’s last remaining hunter-gatherer tribes. Accompanied by local guides, you will gain insight into their traditional way of life and have the opportunity to observe their hunting techniques and survival skills that have been passed down through generations.

You will then continue to the Datoga people, renowned for their exceptional blacksmithing craftsmanship. Here, you will learn about their culture, traditions &the metalworking techniques they use to create tools, jewelry, and other handmade items.

The experience also includes time to explore the scenic surroundings of Lake Eyasi, enjoy a walk along the lakeshore & visit nearby local villages to gain a deeper understanding of daily life in the area.

After completing the cultural activities, begin your drive back to Arusha, where you will arrive in the late afternoon.
