Day 1

You will meet our team at the airport. You will begin sightseeing in Addis with a drive up to Entoto Hills for a panoramic view of Addis. You'll descend and drive to the Ethnological Museum houses anthropological, musicological, and cultural objects. The Ethnological Museum is the first university museum in Ethiopia.
Your overnight stay will be in Addis Ababa.

Day 2
Fly Addis Ababa to Bahir Dar and Blue Nile Falls

The day after breakfast, you will take to airport your flight to Bahir Dar. You will meet upon arrival and drive to Tis Isat Village to visit the Blue Nile Falls, make a small trekking loop along the riverside to view the waterfall from every angle, then drive back to Bahir Dar. (Note that the volume of the water could be minimal because of the construction of the new dam.) After lunch, you'll have a boat trip on Lake Tana to visit two monasteries on Zege peninsula, Ura Kidane Mihret and Azewa Mariam, which are a 14th-century monastery and famous for their mural paintings depicting the Old and New Testament. While walking to the monasteries, you'll visit the wild coffee plantation in the peninsula.

Day 3

After breakfast, you will drive to Gondar, passing through the adventurous road. After lunch, you will begin a visit to Gondar, the Royal Capital of Ethiopia. Gondar was founded in 1636 by Emperor Fassiladas. In the afternoon, you will visit the city of Gondar with a drive to the Castles and Churches built by Emperor Fassiladas and his descendants. You'll proceed to the fascinating Debre Birhan Selassie (The Enlightening of Trinity) with Wonderful mural art and the swimming pool of Emperor Fasisiladas.
Your overnight stay will be in Gondar.

Day 4
Gondar to Sankabar
Gondar to Sankabar
You'll drive from Gondar to Debark. You will have a game drive at Simien Mountain National Park.
Here, you'll obtain a permit from the park headquarters and collect our obligatory scout before continuing to Sankabar (3250m ASL) for the first overnight camp. An early start is needed as the drive from Gondar takes 2-3 hours. The trek begins at Buytras (Simien Lodge), taking about 3 – 4 hours to walk to the Sankabar campsite is usually possible. During the walk, there’s a good chance of seeing your first Gelada baboons. Overnight camping.

Day 5
Sankabar to Geech
Sankabar to Geech
On the morning of day 2, you will walk to Geech via the spectacular Jinbar waterfall. The trek will take approximately 5 – 7 hours. After descending to the Jinbar Wenz (which feeds the waterfall), a short ascent remains to Geech village. A short distance beyond Geech village is the campsite. The campsite has great views of the mountains and is characterized by giant lobelia plants. The nearby Kedadit summit provides one of the best places to see the sunset. The campsite is situated at 3600m ASL.

Day 6
Geech to Ambaras to Gondar
Geech to Ambaras to Gondar
You'll trek from Geech to the Imet Gogo promontory for one of the most spectacular views in the whole mountain range. This is a great day for seeing the magnificent Lammergeier vultures. From Imet Gogo, you'll trek back to the road near a village called Ambaras and meet the car for the drive back to Gondar.

Day 7

After breakfast, you will take to airport your flight to Lalibela. You will be met upon arrival and taken to your hotel. After lunch, you will visit the first group of seven churches that lie in rock cradles one behind the other: Bet Golgotha, Bet Mika’el, Bet Maryam, Bet Meskel, Bet Danagl, and Bet Medhane Alem. Bet Medhane Alem, the largest one, is built like a Greek Temple, and its stone floor is so polished by the countless numbers of visitors that it reflects shafts of light from apertures in the walls high above. In a corner are three empty graves symbolically dug for biblical patriarchs Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob. Later, you will visit the other groups of Rock churches of Lalibela Bet Giyorgis, possibly the most elegant of all the Lalibela churches, which lies somewhat isolated in the southwest part of the village on a sloping rock terrace.

In the morning, you'll have breakfast. You will visit the remaining churches of Lalibela, like Bete Gabriel, Bete Marqorios, Bete Emmanuel, and Bete Aba Libanos. Later, you will take to airport your flight to Addis Ababa.

After breakfast, you will take to the airport your flight to Axum. You will be met upon arrival and after lunch at the Hotel Sightseeing. Axum, a city with more than 2500 years of history, was once the center of a great empire and ancient civilization, home of the original Ark of the Covenant. Axum is the prime historical site in the north of Ethiopia. Take a city tour that includes the St. Mary’s Church, the sanctuary Chapel, which is the repository of the ‘Ark of the Covenant’, the coronation yard, Stelae Park, Tomb of Kaleb and his son Gebre Meskel, Ezana’s Inscriptions, Queen of Sheba’s Bath, Queen of Sheba’s palace ruins, and Axum Museum.

Day 10

After breakfast at the hotel, you will visit the remaining sites in Axum. Later, you'll drive to the airport for your flight to Addis Ababa. In the evening, you’ll attend a folkloric dinner where you will have a chance to taste several national dishes and watch dances of the various ethnic groups of Ethiopia. The traditional coffee ceremony will also be served. Finally, you will take to airport for your flight home.
