Day 2

Journey From Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Journey From Arusha to Tarangire National Park

Your Friendship Adventure Safari guide will pick you up from your accommodation after breakfast. This morning, you will drive to Tarangire National Park, which is approximately a two-and-a-half-hour journey on good tarmac roads. The park is named after the Tarangire River, the only source of water for wildlife in the region during the dry season. Known for its large elephant herds, the park offers great opportunities to observe these magnificent animals congregating by the river.

Additionally, you may encounter giraffe, bushbuck, and hartebeest, with various predators such as lions and leopards often in the vicinity. Tarangire is also home to the highest diversity of bird species anywhere on the planet. You will find ancient baobab trees throughout the park, some of which are believed to be over a thousand years old. A picnic lunch will be served at a designated site inside the park. After your game drive, you will transit to your accommodation in Karatu.

The journey from Karatu to the Ndutu area typically takes about 2 to 3 hours by car.
Once you arrive, the Ndutu area offers incredible opportunities for game drives, especially in the afternoon. You'll likely encounter a variety of wildlife, including wildebeests, zebras, and predators like lions and cheetahs
You will enjoy a hot lunch at the lodge. Then, you'll proceed with an evening game drive until sunset.
Your dinner and overnight stay will be at Nyikani Migration Camp.

Day 4

After breakfast, you will depart Karatu and travel through the scenic Ngorongoro Conservation Area to the Ndutu region in Southern Serengeti. Enjoy a game drive along the way as you search for wildlife across the vast plains. During the calving season (December to March), thousands of wildebeest, zebras, and gazelles gather here to give birth, attracting predators such as lions, cheetahs, leopards, and hyenas. You'll spend the afternoon exploring this incredible wildlife area before heading to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 5

After breakfast, you'll enjoy a final morning game drive in the Ndutu area before continuing to Central Serengeti (seronera), the heart of Serengeti National Park. As you travel through the endless plains, keep an eye out for a wide variety of wildlife, including elephants, giraffes, zebras, and antelopes.

Upon arrival in Seronera, you'll continue with an afternoon game drive in one of Africa's richest wildlife habitats, famous for its large lion prides, leopards, cheetahs, and resident wildlife throughout the year. Later, you'll head to your camp for dinner and an overnight stay.

After a hearty breakfast, embark on a scenic drive toward the legendary Ngorongoro Crater, enjoying spectacular views and wildlife along the way. Spend an unforgettable afternoon exploring this natural wonder before heading to your accommodation in Karatu.

Encircled by towering volcanic walls, Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtaking sanctuary teeming with life. This UNESCO World Heritage Site features golden savannahs, shimmering lakes, lush swamps, and acacia woodlands. Formed over 2 million years ago after a massive volcanic eruption, it is the world’s largest unbroken caldera.

Descending into the crater is an adventure, offering unparalleled views at every turn. On the crater floor, you’ll find herds of wildebeests, zebras, gazelles, and over 500 bird species, from flamingos to crowned cranes. Karatu to Lake Eyasi

Karatu to Lake Eyasi

Early morning, you will drive to the dwelling of the famous Hadzabe tribe in the Bush for cultural Interaction.
The Bushmen, or more accurately, the Hadza people, are one of the last remaining groups of traditional hunter-gatherers in Africa, and they reside around Lake Eyasi in northern Tanzania

The Hadza are hunter-gatherers who rely on hunting wild game (such as antelope, birds, and small mammals) and gathering fruits, honey, tubers, and wild plants for food.
They are skilled at using bows and arrows, often hunting in groups or individually, and their deep knowledge of the land and its wildlife has been passed down through generations.

After lunch, you will drive back to Arusha and onwards to the airport in good time for your flight to your next destination.
