Welcome to Jinka! Our team will be waiting to warmly welcome you, and then we will transfer you to your lodge for a quick check-in and refreshing coffee. After a revitalizing coffee break, we’ll drive through the stunning Mago National Park to meet the Mursi people, famous for their unique lip plates and nomadic lifestyle. After immersing ourselves in their culture, we’ll return to Jinka via scenic routes. In the evening, we will visit Arrie village, home to the largest culture in the Omo Valley, known for their craftsmanship and traditional practices. Enjoy a breathtaking sunset before heading back to Jinka for the night.

Journey to Turmi people Exploration
After breakfast, we’ll drive to Turmi, stopping at Keyafer for market day if available. Upon arrival in Turmi, check into your hotel before exploring the Nyangatom and Kara villages, noted for their peaceful lifestyles and beautiful body art. In the evening, witness the Hamer community's bull-jumping ceremony and cultural dances at sunset, offering an unforgettable insight into their traditions. Return to your hotel in Turmi for the night.

From Turmi Drive Dawn to Omorate Cross Omo River to meet the Dasenech, Kara & Naygatom Communities

Omorate Dasenech people Visit
After breakfast, we’ll head to Omorate to meet the Dasenech people along the Omo River. Cross the river on a traditional wooden boat for an authentic experience. After spending time with the Dasenech, return to Turmi for lunch. If timing permits, witness the Hamer bull-jumping ceremony before returning to your accommodation in Turmi.

On your final day, depending on your flight schedule, visit either Demeka or Keyafer market for a last cultural experience. We’ll then drive back to Jinka in time for your flight back to Addis Ababa, concluding your enriching journey through the Omo Valley, filled with unforgettable memories and cultural insights.
