Day 1

Your journey begins with a pre-dawn departure from Kigali for a scenic drive to the park. Upon arrival, you'll attend a briefing at Kinigi Headquarters before setting off on your guided trek. The trek duration varies, depending on the gorilla family’s location, and requires navigating steep terrain and thick vegetation. However, the experience of observing gorillas up close in their natural habitat—watching them play, forage, and interact—is truly unforgettable.
After the trek, you will return to Mountain Gorilla View Lodge for lunch. If time permits, you'll visit the Ellen DeGeneres Campus of the Dian Fossey Gorilla Fund to learn more about conservation efforts. Late afternoon, you will drive back to Kigali, where you will be dropped off at your hotel or Kigali International Airport.
