Arrive at Entebbe Airport in the morning, where our guide will be waiting for you. Transfer to your lodge for check in, relax, have lunch, and sit in the lodge compound as you listen to and watch birds sing and play. In the evening, enjoy bird watching at the Botanical Gardens, where you will spot a number of sunbirds (among others).

Day 2

Entebbe - Mabamba Swamp

Entebbe - Mabamba Swamp

After an early morning breakfast, take a boat cruise to Mabamba Swamp for a shoebill experience and to see other bird species such as the papyrus gonolek, African marsh harrier, swamp flycatcher, long-toed lapwing, cattle egrets, and long-tailed cormorants (among others). Join your bird expert to identify different species. Return for lunch, then enjoy an evening birding experience at the Botanical Gardens around Entebbe City for a second time.

Mabamba Swamp - Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch

After an early morning breakfast, drive along the highway and through interesting urban centers while spotting different bird species such as pelicans, the grey crowned crane, and the African fish eagle. Proceed to Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch, where you'll spend an hour with the rhinos, then have lunch and relax. You’ll enjoy additional bird watching in the afternoon and evening.

Day 4

Ziwa Rhino and Wildlife Ranch - Murchison Falls National Park

After a warm breakfast, transfer to Murchison Falls National Park for an afternoon boat cruise to the bottom of Murchison Falls, the most powerful waterfall in the world. During the cruise, you will spot bird species, wildlife, and breathtaking natural scenery. Return and drive to the top of the falls, where the entire Nile is forced into a gorge and drops over 60 meters. Depending on your energy levels, you may take a hike along the falls. Later you will transfer to the lodge.

Today you’ll embark on an early morning game drive in Murchison Falls National Park, the largest national park in Uganda, endowed with abundant wildlife. Spot elephants, buffaloes, giraffes, and experience savannah birds. Return to your lodge to relax until lunch, followed by an afternoon bird-watching experience until later in the evening.

After a warm breakfast, you will embark on a drive filled with interesting landscapes, photography opportunities, cultural and agricultural experiences, and bird-watching stops along the way. Enjoy landscape viewing and lunch en route to Kibale National Park, home of chimpanzees. Your overnight stay will be at a lodge in the park.

After a very early morning breakfast, you will walk or drive to the chimpanzee briefing area and receive tips for tracking. As you walk through the rainforest in search of chimpanzees, enjoy the abundant birdlife and other primates the forest hosts. Return for lunch and relax, then enjoy an afternoon bird-watching and cultural walk in Bigodi Swamp, followed by evening birding.

Return for lunch, then proceed to Entebbe Airport for your late evening flight home.
