Hotel pick up and transfer to Masai Mara, Evening game drive

Your journey to Masai Mara starts with a hotel pick-up in Nairobi, where a friendly driver-guide welcomes you for the adventure ahead. The drive takes about 5-6 hours, with a scenic stop at the Great Rift Valley viewpoint, offering stunning views of the escarpment.

Upon arrival at your camp or lodge, you’ll be warmly greeted and offered a refreshing drink. Lunch at the camp includes a variety of local and international dishes, often served buffet-style with options like grilled meats and vegetarian choices.

After settling in, the evening game drive begins around 4:00 PM, an ideal time to spot wildlife as animals become more active in the cooler weather. You'll explore the sprawling savannah in a 4x4 safari vehicle, guided by an experienced tracker who helps you search for the Big Five—lions, elephants, buffaloes, leopards, and rhinos. Afterward, you’ll return to the lodge for the night.

Game drives and Masai villa visit

Early in the morning, enjoy breakfast before heading out for a sunrise game drive—prime time for spotting predators like lions and leopards, along with other incredible wildlife. During the drive, stop for a bush lunch and then visit a nearby Maasai village to learn about traditional customs and dances. Alternatively, continue with another game drive to explore different parts of the reserve. If you're visiting between July and October, you might witness the Great Migration.

Later, return to the camp for an evening sundown dinner and overnight stay.

Transfer back to Nairobi

After an early breakfast at your camp or lodge, you'll check out and start the drive back to Nairobi. Make sure to exit the park by 10:00 AM, particularly if your park entry ticket is set to expire that morning. Along the way, you'll have a lunch stop to enjoy a meal before continuing the journey. Depending on road conditions and traffic, you can expect to arrive in Nairobi between 4:00 and 5:00 PM. This drive offers a chance to reflect on your adventures and take in the scenic views along the way.
