As you travel to Kidepo Valley National Park, you will stop for an en route lunch in Gulu Town. The journey offers spectacular views of the beautiful landscape, local homesteads and everyday life in the area. Upon arrival at Kidepo, you will check into your hotel or lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.

Day 2
Game Drive and Cultural Experience

After breakfast, embark on a morning game drive through the Narus Valley. This drive will allow you to see a variety of birds and is one of the best places in Uganda to encounter big cats like lions, cheetahs, and leopards, more so than in other parks. After lunch, drive to a nearby village for a community experience. Explore their traditional dwellings, known as manyattas, and observe some of their traditional tools, crafts and jewelry. You will also be invited to join in a lively leaping dance with the friendly locals.

Start your day early with a morning game drive through the park, where you can observe a variety of wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, antelopes, giraffes, lions and many species of birds. After lunch, you will continue your journey to Murchison Falls National Park. Once you arrive, you will check in at your lodge, enjoy some relaxation and spend the night there.

Day 4
Game Drive and Boat Cruise
Game Drive and Boat Cruise
Wake up early, have breakfast, and set off by 6:00am for a game drive. This drive presents opportunities to observe early risers and big cats in action before they retreat to their shelters. During the drive, you may also encounter Lake Chad buffalo, African elephants, Lelwel's hartebeest, Nubian giraffes, oribis and other species. Common bird species include the Goliath heron, African skimmer and red-throated bee-eater.
Shortly after lunch, embark on a launch cruise on the Nile to the base of the falls. This water safari will introduce you to pods of hippos, Nile crocodiles basking by the riverbank, as well as various bird species and other wildlife drinking at the shores. Depending on your level of fatigue, you can choose to return to the lodge for relaxation.

Day 5
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Return to Kampala
Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary and Return to Kampala
Start your day by waking up early and having breakfast. After that, head to the park to visit the top of the falls, where you will enjoy spectacular views of various parts of the park as well as Murchison Falls. Next, proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Upon arrival, you will meet a guide who will give you a briefing before you head into the bush in search of the rhinos. The tracking experience will take approximately three hours. Afterward, continue your journey and have lunch on your way to Kampala.
